SHS EAGLE

A little sarcasm goes along way don't it, read quote closely.:laugh::laugh:

Brossart Athletic Director Mel Webster pulls offs a big hire with Rinehart. This definately will get the Brossart football program where it needs to be in the future. Rinehart will be missed at Scott where he helped set up discipline in the program over the years and always had his hand in everything in the Scott program. The sky is the limit for the Brossart program but it is now especially for the Scott program which definately can move forward after this big loss in the Coaching staff. Matt good luck at Brossart I will be rooting for you.

I hope the Wilfong kid has not played in this game all 3 years. This game is for seniors only that were seniors during the last football year. The game is at Dixie on Friday June 6th.

Who is the Walters kid ? Is it the Walters kid from Williamstown High School ?

Scott has state of the art lights on their field and trust me no ball will be lost because of poor lighting.

Scott has been working on a building behind the back-stop for years and the county finally stepped in and are trying to complete it. There has been construction going on and the facillity wasn't done in time to host the Region. Scott switched with Harrison this year and the Region will be at Scott next year. The facillity when completed will have restrooms, concession stand, a large press box on top and a locker room with showers and a Coaches office on the bottom in the back of the building. It will be a wonderful place to host the Region in 09.

This game to me was like Scott's second round game last year in the Region. Scott's left fielder struggles to catch balls in the outfield. Last night I would say alot had to do with the lighting, Harrison's lights are horrible poles are way to short for baseball lighting. Infield seems to be pretty good as far as playing surface. I would say though Scott and Campbell still have the best fields in the Region.

Guys who really cares about the wind blowing that is part of the game. I am pretty sure that in the Majors the wind blows harder some days than others. They don't say well the wind was blowing so that homerun would have been an out under certain conditions. It still counts so let's get over it and go on, a great game last night between 2 teams that to me are mirror images of each other.

I am a very reliable source game is at 7:30 you can bank on it.

That person was John Shouse. People don't realise records need to go back all the way when the school opened up. Adams is having a fine year and does deserve votes for POY.

Scott homeruns by Smith (2) Murray(1), and Hankinson (1). Hankinson hit his in the bottom of the 6th inning which gave the Eagles a 3 run lead and the Eagles hold on to win by 1 run. Total of 8 homeruns in this game 4 by each team. 2 grand slams 1 by each team and Brossart hits back to back homeruns in the 7th inning and fall just a little short. Great high school baseball game by both teams.

You possibly could be right on the homeruns for a season. However if that is the total for a 4 year career that is low. I know for a fact that John Shouse hit more than 13 for a career and he was drafted by the Pittsburgh Pirates I believe. This might have been before your time Blue Flyer, but you should get all the facts before acting like you have all the stats for everyone who has gone through the Scott Baseball program.

Adams did not break the HR record at Scott he needs I believe 2 more to tie it and many more to break the career record at Scott. He is however having an outstanding season and should get POY votes.

You are certainly right about the base running blunders Scott made. I was at the game and it looked like to me the same kid made 2 blunders in the game. To me watching from the stands the Adkins kid looks better at shortstop than the Murray kid does. Adkins seems to cover more ground and has a better arm to throw runners out at first. Maybe they should switch positions but this is my opinion only from what I have seen so far from watching games this year.

I agree I think Jones has the edge playing on a field with softball dimensions only helps the cause. How many homeruns does he have on the road away from Bellevue?

If it ends in a 3 way tie I believe they use a coin flip to determine #1 seed.

George very solid in first 2 Varsity starts but let's give him time to grow at the Varsity Level first. The 2 teams he has pitched against aren't really at the top offensively this year. I am not trying to take anything away from George he probably will fall into a starting spot on the Varsity Level for the rest of the year for the Eagles. If I had to say he probably could be Scotts 3rd starter in the rotation as of right now.

Towles can throw pretty good but not a D-1 pitcher. I would say not in same league with Nichols and Elliott.

I don't understand why they have this game with practices before school is out. There are kids who play high school baseball who might have to make a decision on what to do if the two sports conflict. This game should be played after school is out and when baseball is officially over for high school. I don't understand why this game couldn't be played in late June it just makes no sense to make a kid make a decision between the sport that is going now in high school or going to practices for the All Star game.

Don't count on most of Summit View's talent going to Dixie just a yet a little birdy told me a secret. I agree that the Spartans might be sending talent to Dixie but I only know of 1 Raider with talent going to Dixie that would be the Molony kid who will follow in his brothers footsteps and will really help Dixie's program down the road.

Guys when you take away the errors in the game for both teams final score would have been Scott 4 Brossart 0. Brossart's run scored after the runner on second moved up to third on a passed ball by Scott's catcher and tagged up on a deep fly ball to center.

I will take Scott in this one with Adkins on the hill. However if Scott does not come up with a 3rd and 4th starter down the road they could be in real trouble. I know with the rainouts they have been having it has not hurt them yet because Adkins and Adams have had rest between starts and there has been a gap between games where you can bring them back quicker because of the rainouts. I just don't know about the 3rd and 4th man in the rotation. I thought Hiller could be the 3rd starter but he has not really shown much this year so far but he has time to turn it around. Murray looks like he could be a good reliever in games just don't know if he could give you 5 or 6 innings as a starter. There is still time for someone to step up and get that 3rd and 4th starter role for the Eagles. Getting back to the thread Scott wins this game I would say 5-2.

Guys just keep an eye out for where the Summit View kids go to high school at and that will tell you who will have the best Freshmen team next year. Summit View has won the Junior High Division the last 2 years and I believe their Coach for the last 2 years will be the new Freshmen Coach at Scott let's see how many kids follow from his Championship team.

It wouldn't have mattered if Scott's field was immaculate and very playable Harrison County would have not made the trip to play at Scott.

The Shay kid might have the talent to play at the Varsity Level but you must get it done in the classroom first. The Camels don't need a player like someone said that might not be eligible to play especially at the Varsity Level. As far as him playing quarterback for Scott's Freshmen team he was an average football player at best but from what I am hearing he must be pretty good at baseball. I wish the Camels the best except when you play the Eagles.
