I know they have Zeke Pike, Michael Molony, and Tyler Moore from the Raiders, Burns (Sp) from the Spartans as well as the entire Turkeyfoot team.

 

They will be loaded this year at the skill positions. I am not as familiar with their O and D lines.

Preston still head coach? When I talked to him last Fall he was not sure he wanted to continue to coach.

Actually Maxwell is back coaching the freshman team.

Guys just keep an eye out for where the Summit View kids go to high school at and that will tell you who will have the best Freshmen team next year. Summit View has won the Junior High Division the last 2 years and I believe their Coach for the last 2 years will be the new Freshmen Coach at Scott let's see how many kids follow from his Championship team.

I guess I am going to have to get on Max because he seems to have failed to mention this to me in the numerous conversations we've had recently.

Most of the Summit View talent that won the championship last fall is headed to Dixie this year. Turkeyfoot had a very nice team last year, so this will be a nice combination of talent. Add in a mix of Raiders/Spartans and a few other athletic kids that I am aware of that are headed to Dixie this fall and this should be a very good year for the Dixie freshmen.

Don't count on most of Summit View's talent going to Dixie just a yet a little birdy told me a secret. I agree that the Spartans might be sending talent to Dixie but I only know of 1 Raider with talent going to Dixie that would be the Molony kid who will follow in his brothers footsteps and will really help Dixie's program down the road.

Sorry, but I like Dixie's chances more than Scott's to get these kids. That being said, I hope Scott really is able to improve their program with the new head coach.

I don't deny that there are a few kids with talent headed to Scott, and a few are headed to Simon Kenton. But, considering that my two boys played for Summit View (starting HB and guard), and that they have told me as recently as today that the QB, FB, and WB, among other positions are still headed to Dixie, I still contend that most of the talent is headed to Dixie.

 

That said, I like the new Scott freshman coach. I hope he is able to help turn the Scott program around.

I know that the two studs will be Zeke Pike and Seth Bruns. I have heard rumors that Zeke could be playing QB this season and running the show! I do know that most of Summit Views Starting team will be joining Turkey Foot, Riaders, and Spartens Player to create a real special team!!

 

Look for Zeke Pike to really take over the show and expect an outstanding 4 years from him.

It really doesn't matter who the kids are that are coming up to the freshman level. It depends on how much the High School puts into their freshman program. I stood on the Dixie sideline of a Dixie freshman game, and was amazed at the coaching staff these kids had to learn from. Campbell County freshman team had an awesome coaching staff all around and it showed with their performances. Boone rebels had some skilled and talented players and a couple of great coaches in Ben and Mongo, but they where held back tremendously by the head coaches abilities or should I say coaching style and decisions. I think Varsity Coach Thompson does a great job once he gets a hold of the young group though.

Maxwell is an excellent coach!!

I would be shocked if Zeke plays QB. I also think that as a minimum Molony will start at LB, as will Zeke. They will have a very strong team this year. I am curious when they play Highlands & Ryle.

According to the Dixie "View my schedule" website there's already a tentative schedule out there that shows 10/9/08 is when Dixie Freshmen play Highlands. There is no game on the schedule vs. Ryle.
