  1. Sullivan is not way to young, nor is he close to immature. He would be a great fit to Holmes not only because he used to coach there but he knows how to coach his players well and to make them discipline. He would do great things if he accepted this job, look what he did for Cooper who is a second year program. Of course he didn't have the best winning record this season but his players bought in to his ways and also he wants to win and will not enforce we will have to win. He enforces have fun playing basketball and also to do the little things. Coach Sullivan would be a great fit for Holmes not only because he wants to win but because he does if for the right reasons and he wants to make the right decisions not only for him but for his family.
  2. Just to set the record straight on this. The draft was setup that connor kid's played together all the way through because of transportation issues (to far to drive from hebron or burlington to florence for practices), because majority of the teams were based in florence. But the coach's(mainly the coach's) and parents complained, because they felt this was a unfair advantage for connor and got the switch to be a league wide draft. If I recall connor did win there state title with alot of the players, that played together all the way through the pee wee system before the change was made.
  3. Boone Co. Talent level at Boone is not what they are used to having . IMO they will struggle again this year.
  4. Highlands 28 to Cov. Cath. 14. IMO home team runs away with this one in the second half.
  5. Dixie runs away with this one. Dixie 35 to Boone 7.
  6. Ryle finishes regular season undefeated with this win Wed. night, on a sloppy field at CC.
  7. Thank You Sarge, and the Walton community.

  10. Like I said before, this thread should be about complimenting the players and about the games, not comparing the two schools. Like I said in a earlier post Beechwood last ran the table and won it all with maybe 30 to 35 players. So size of the school really doesn't matter in my opinion.:ylsuper:
  11. Ryle wins this . Way to much talent for the rebels to handle. Ryle by 3 td's
  12. Just want to ask a question? Why is it everytime someone post a thread on Ryle's freshman team score, that everyone goes off in a different direction with it. Sure we can debate Cooper's situation all day long, but keep in mind that we should be discussing Ryle's victory instead of always bring Cooper up in this thread. Please compliment Ryle's effort on the field and there players because they have earned it. Start another thread if you want to debate other issues not regarding Ryle's games.
  13. Yes Boone County @ Ryle Sat. 10th at 12:30
  14. Only thing I can say is look at Beechwood freshman last year, maybe they had 35 players and they beat every big school team up in NKY. 5a or 6a schools it didn't matter they won. Correct me if I am wrong, they are 1a school. Like I said numbers doesn't matter. So your theory, if you have numbers you could beat anyone, at anytime is false.
  15. Numbers doesn't matter. You might be a 4a school with enrollment, but your athletics play in 6a. I know that is not the coaches choice, that was from the administration. So IMO numbers don.t matter. So I have no chioce but to compare apples to apples here. And they look the same, 2 6a programs playing.:dancingpa
  16. You are totally correct with your response. Develope your players, and winning will take care of itself. No sense in whining about it, deal with it and make the best of it.
  17. Yes I was here in 07. Maybe fans were still upset, but the coaches were not . I have been around freshman football for the past 6 years and I have never seen any freshman teams play an extra game after the season is over. Khsaa will not allow this, if I'm not mistaken, that would against the rules.
  18. Actually, that is not true. Ryle coaches and players were upset over that one defeat that kept them out of the championship. But they didn't cry for months about it as you say they did. I know they went right back to work determine to do better. And Ryle saying no to a game with Cooper is far from the truth ! They would love to play them, but they have a full schedule and it cannot be done for that reason. So who ever gave you that information about Ryle not wanting to play them, misinformed you.
  19. Boone plays at Ryle sat. Oct. 10. Kickoff is at 12:30. Playoffs will go like this. E1 VS W2 W1 VS E2 E3 VS W4 W3 VS E4 Top 2 winners then will play for campionship.
  20. Sorry . I am not trying to sell you anything. Those are facts .
  21. I was on the sidelines, and I know for a fact Ryle's 2's were in the game for the last 2 scores for SK.
  22. I do see Ryle winning a rematch. SK scored 2 touchdowns on the 2's of Ryle's defense. If you saw the same game as I did, you would have noticed weather conditions were the same for both teams. And Sk really didnt do a whole of yard gaining off there first defense, except for #45. IMO the better team won.
  23. Ryle made way to many mistakes. But defense shut down Connor pretty good after the first 2 series . If Ryle can get back to error free football, they are going to be tough to beat. It will be a good one next thur. at Ryle when SK comes to visit.
  24. 1- HIGHLANDS 2-RYLE 3-SIMON KENTON 4-CONNOR 5-DIXIE 6-BEECHWOOD 7-HOLMES 8-COOPER 9-BOONE CO. tied for 10-(HOLY CROSS, CAMPBELL CO. ) :dancingpa
