Yes, I live in KY! But i have seen High school football from many different states. Are you and CentreRocks Trinity Alum or are you still in High school members of the school?

Wow, I wish I could brag about my High School program like that.... :creepy: Not knowing the age of Centre Rocks I will not crash his ego. For all other programs that don't meet the standards of Trinity:rolleyes:, be proud of your kids, the program their with, and effort they give each week. Not everyone can be recruited by...oops I mean attend Trinity. There's many schools throughout the nation that are just as good, if not better. Yes, Trinity and the fans have an outstanding football program and should be proud; yet humble.

Well said! I think the BC backup big men behind Earls and Lay can add some depth to their size also when they get the time. Earls was in foul trouble early last night and BC needs to be able to replace him with strong physical size and not just height. In order to continue the run, rebounding has to improve for BC. They look better than last years team because they are playing much better defense and the ball is being pass around more even on the penetration drives.

Nice job by the young Cooper team to put up 49 points. Sooner than you think, you may get your first victory. Keep working hard!

Tomorrow (12/2), at Boone, triple (Freshman, JV and Varsity all play). I think the Freshman start it off at 4:30 p.m.

Usually when a high school program is continiously dominant it's due to an excellent youth feeder program. I don't know either team very well, so I can't speak personally for their youth programs. Another thing to consider is the residential status of some of the key athletes. Occasionally, a kid is brought into the system because of their athletic ability reguardless of where they live, and can make a big difference in a good and dominant team. These schools sell themselves very well on being able to provide the athletes with an athletic/education opportunity after they leave the high school system. You could also look at the coaching staff and see that they have put together a sucessful staff in all of the positions which is very important. Just Food for Thought

I agree. Leaving Simpson open in the flats for a one one with a db is trouble and Boone payed for that. SK had a good game plan and was the better team tonight. Good run Boone and Good Luck next week SK.

I really enjoy your downplay of a great game played by both teams on Friday night:rolleyes: I don't know what kind of high school football you are used to seeing maybe (can you say Trinity AKA Kentucky juco football). Henry Clay played a great game defensively. Boone threw the ball more than just on the game ending score and HC defended them well. Also note that Boone had more than one pass completion. To put a nickel defense against the Rebels 99% running game style is asking for a train wreck, so maybe that's why. I heard no complaints from anyone last night about two terrible teams, or two teams that didn't do what they were supposed to do. Anyone with football common sense saw two teams use the talent they have to try and make plays. That's what high school football is about. Not every team can be a Trinity! The last minute plus of the game was so good, I almost forgot how cold it was. There was good defensive and offensive plays throughout the game, they both just had trouble punching it in. Let's not downgrade the teams and instead commend them on their efforts and the year they've had.

You preach a nice sermon, but be honest with yourself. The high schools that have to abide by district ruling as to who attends their schools will always be a step behind the St. X, Trinity, and other non-confined programs. I have several first hand conversations with coaching assistants from the non-confined schools from Kentucky and Ohio, and they take every advantage of being able to go outside the area to bring talented athletes. I agree with you that there's talent in these other schools that should be able to compete, but the depth of talent is where the difference comes in. You can bang on Boone, Ryle and the other district restricted schools all you want, but if they had open enrollment, that released this talent confinement, a powerhouse program could be built immediately. NKY6A has several talented athletes that spreads among several teams, and I think all the coaches do a great job to make it a competitive conference which is more enjoyable to watch than a single dominating team in a district. That just my strong opinion.

Boone played without their running back Oppenheimer, and a key blocker from the tight end spot in T Brown. They still played a fairly decent game, and continue to improve for what's important; the next level.

Thanks guys. I thought the dive was necessary to break the plane before being brought down or knocked out of bounds. Maybe they should create a five yard separation rule for that call to prevent robbing great efforts from kids that are just selling it all out to make the play.

Does anyone know what happened on Lohsaks amazing Kick return. I think there was a personal foul and an unsportsmanlike foul called. It was just interesting that flags didn't hit the field until Lohsak was in the end-zone. Actually that call allowed Boone to take more time off the clock with another time consuming drive, but I hated to see such an awesome effort by #22 negated. The Rebels did a good job playing through the call and continuing their game. Congrats to the Rebels on a well deserved district title.

What are some of the better records than Boone in NK? Why do people find it so hard to give the Rebels their due respect. No one said they were the best in the state! Just to this point, they are the best in their district. Again, tonight will tell all. By the way coaches don't score touchdowns and make tackles, players do.:sssh:

Ok Angry folk. I am not backpeddling, I stick to my statement about the talented players mentioned. Maybe Ryle has better talent on the line, maybe it's the place kicker, who knows. Again the keypoint is "playmakers and game changers". Reguardless of where they are, if you can't answer my post with any names, then don't reply. "Politics".......that's not me, Im too nice. Apparently I have gotten into someones head, so maybe I should enter psychiatry. Anyway! The game tonight should be a good one with two talented teams. The outcome will answer my question.:thumb:

I did not say Ryle does not have talented players. I was clearly asking "who are the players that EQUALLY match the ones I mentioned. I have not seen any up to this point perform at that level. Ryle is a good team and they are improving each week. I'm sure Ryle has some equally or higher talented players, but are they key positions and game-changing playmakers? I like your sarcasm :thumb:

Evenly Matched???????????? Who from Ryle matches with........ Quainoo, Lohsak, Spaulding, Eagler. Boone is playing football on a different level than most of the area teams because of their talent. When Boone needs to pass, they can, and Lohsak proves to be an elusive receiver, especially in man to man. But most teams need to fill the box just to try to contain Quainoo. I also think Boone plays every game with a rivalry mentality. Walsh may be a back up, but he can still run the show just as well............. Good luck and safe playing to both teams.............
