Adams gets the win today on the hill for the eagles allowing 2 runs only which of one was earned.

 

The eagles seemed to come out a little contempt after thrashing the Bluebirds yesterday but still sealed the deal.

 

It was a 3-2 game going into the top of the 5th when with two outs and a runner on second, Adams hits a no doubter down the left field line (about 380) to put them up 5-2 and give them some breathing room. After that the eagles put up some more runs on some timely hitting by EJ Murray and Nick Hiller.

 

Some stats:

 

Adams: 3-3, 2 1Bs, HR(1), 4 RBIs, 2 runs

Hiller: 2-4, 2B, 2 runs, 1 RBI

Murray: 2-4, 2 RBIs

 

Good job Eagles, they play Conner tomorrow at Conner @ 5:00. I think its Nick Hillers turn in the rotation so should be a good one.

Actually Murray is a position player, at least for Scott that is. He has always been at shortstop (since his soph year, now a junior).

Murray played shortstop at Scott all last season. I heard he can play all positions and can play them well.

I was at the game Adams shot was maybe 330 down the line the fence is 315 so I would say about 330, 380 is a little bit of a stretch. It did come at the right time though. Hiller had 1 hit that I can remember a triple the other time he got on was an error. Eagles made some mental mistakes in the field as well but a win is a win and they move on to play Conner tomorrow. Good luck Eagles I will not be able to attend the game against Conner because I have a music recital tomorrow night.

From what I saw in summer ball he was playing for the Erlanger Lions and playing CF but now I see him playing SS for Scott. But thanks for clearing that up.:thumb:

Its only 315 down the line and the ball went way over it. 15 ft past the fence just seems a little low as the ball was absolutely crushed and went way over but that is just my opinion.

 

Regardless though, Adams had a great game

Walton has a new field right, I believe it was only 250 down the left field line when i was last there 2 years ago. I thought I heard them saying something about it but I am not sure.
