Brenden Stowers at Simon Kenton. He is Jeff's assistant and if you have played against his defense you know how good he is. Bottom line at Simon if you don't play "D" you don't play. Everyone in Independence are on "pins and needles" each off season worrying that Brenden will take a head boys job or a college position. If he is not, he should be on everyones short list.

Dixon (a freshman?) for Walton will be the X factor. If she plays well Walton will win. She is a nice compliment to Hargett inside. Walton's guards need to handle and if they do it will be a WV victory.

Sk does have an up and coming program. The history is not there, that I will whole heartedly agree. But given there history the back to back to back winning seasons and finally some stability at the head coaching position. Some respect has been earned over the past few years. And please DO NOT put Simon Kenton and Scott in the same catagory. Simon has won a play-off game vs Boyd County in their very first play-off appearence, losing to the eventual state champ Cov. Cath. in the second round. And until this year they have lost in the play-offs to the eventual state champion in each of their play-off appearences. To borrow the quote from the Coach from Colorado "This is 6A football" not not intramurals.

How did the Lady Bearcats play?

Simon Kenton beat Highlands 41-37. It was a good game SK came out and dominated the first half and was leading by 15 at half. The pioneers started to play sloppy in the second half and let them back in it but started to get back together in the end. It was a very good game.

It probably wasn't a real good night for Hargett to have an off night seems how there was a college scout there. Gallatin should of never stopped pressing it was their coaches fault. The Dixon girl was a pleasant surprise. All I'm saying is the guards from Walton will have their hands full.

hargett only got 13 points against gallitan there is no way she is going to get that against simon's defense playing the way she did the other night. walton couldnt even get the ball across the floor on gallitan's press if sk starts pressing its gonna be ugly. tolliver has been gettting points on the board for sk who does walton have to stop her? i believe sk is gonna be all over them no doubt.

Highlands football has turned around many a bad apple...... I agree. You shouldn't take away the chance for these kids to be part of something so special like Highlands football. These kids will figure it out soon enough. Give the varsity staff a chance to fix them and allow the players to gain that desire for a state title.
