Boyd Co seems to be an early favorite to return to Applebees Park this season.

Boyd Co will be headed back to the confines of Cocoa Expo

Boyd came out flat and had no motion to their offense. East had no answer for Selby underneath and Boyd just didn't go to him.

From what I hear, he was just dissatisfied with his playing time.

Boyd should be the favorite again this season, but they do have some holes to plug in the outfield. After this season though, the coaches will have their hands full because they talent they have enjoyed just simply won't be there.

Justin Moore leads the pack in the 16th region for Boyd Co, who also has 2 other talented pitchers in Greg Bowling and Tyler Perkins.

Every alien image I've ever seen features: Cold, clammy, pale, pasty skin. Bulbous bald head. Scrawny pencil neck. Weak, droopy shoulders. Empty, watery eyes. Long skinny appendages with little if any muscle definition. Virtually no chest. Prominent pot belly. Sagging flabby buttocks. Until reading this post, I didn't really believe in aliens. The biggest difference in this game was the defense that was played on Vanhoose by Ryan Crisp and Brad Blanton. They played physical with him and denied him the ball. Most of Vanhoose's were scored when someone other than those 2 were guarding him. Great job Lions on a big win.

Boyd just got lucky last night, if they were playing against a better team, the outcome would have been a whole lot different.

To answer that I would have to say NO. The score should have been worse than it was, but Boyd commited way too many turnovers. SF did have some good shooters, but were very undisciplined in their shot selection.

Seems like a pretty fair poll for this early in the season, but I look for it to come down to Russell and Rose Hill by the end of the season.

I totally agree, but as long as they are consistent and the calls are going both ways, it is a little more tolerable. I think Boyd learned tonight, and hopefully so did Selby, that they are a much better team with him in the lineup. He needs to stay away from the silly fouls like he committed against Elliott in order for BC to have success.

I just hope it can get back to that kind of rivalry, but i just don't know if it ever will. It used to mean the whole season when it came to that game, now it is just another game. And next season will be worse when the districts change.

Just couldn't help myself, afterall as bad as fball team is i am already looking forward to bball.

:thumb: Exactly, the coach has to be the leader of the team and take control of the team. That didn't happen last year and everyone saw the results. BC did have the best player in the region since OJ and as far as I am concerned that talent was wasted.

I will have to agree with you there. I think Pratt could have coached them better than he did Owens or Fugate for that matter. He can handle very good players, but not the kids labled as "super-stars".

What people don't realize is that Owens was doing exactly what he was told to do by the coaches. He was told to keep shooting and the only thing that would keep him from shooting was foul trouble. Owens told me himself that he hated all the negativity surrounding him and would quit shooting the ball if that is what the coaches wanted, but as everyone who followed BC saw, that wasn't part of the gameplan.

They should be competetive this season if everyone comes back from last season and they won't have a player this season that everyone is jealous of and there will be more shots to go around, just hope they can make some.:ylsuper:

Supposedly Morehead is where he will attend and play after he graduates from Scott Co. He will be joining his sister there who has signed to play for the girls team.
