Boyd Co seems to be an early favorite to return to Applebees Park this season.

Did they lose many seniors from last years team ?

Not too many, IMO they still have enough left in the cupboard to make a run this season. They have to replace 2 outfielders and SS. They are still fine pitching wise, but could be a little weak on the offensive side of the ball.

Who will be some of the top teams this year?

No particular order and just a few names:

 

Owensboro Catholic

Male

PRP

Boyd County

St. X

Lex. Cath

Christian County

Heath

Russell County

Elizabethtown

Owen County

GRC

Harrison County

Franklin County

Danville

....and several other programs, who are always solid.

Not too many that I know of- Potter, Gatrell, Sargent.

In State

In the state I will take LCA,Lex Cath,PRP, Christian Co.,Dunbar,St X and Trinity and give the field.

11th region should be loaded with solid teams. Lex Cath & Dunbar favored. Teams to watch should be Scott County and Franklin County. All 4 of these teams are returning almost everything. Tates Creek will be young but very talented. Lafayette and Henry Clay will be tough to beat as well.

 

Bryan Station should be much improved as they return most players from last year as well. LCA will have one of the top pitchers in the state and can beat anyone on a given night.
