There needs to be a playoff system for college teams. Why should a computer get to pick the top teams. There are plenty of conferences so why not have the top two teams from each conference play in a playoff format. If you're an independent team -- join a conference.

I think LaRue County will upset Mercer County by 3. Call me crazy but I think LaRue County is on a roll after upseting Western last week. The best way to beat Mercer County -- IMO -- is to score first.

Sneed is a good player but I have to agree that she has a bad work ethic. That could cost her with the college scouts. The Allen girl is good and I can't wait to watch her this season. Just imagine what talent she'll have by her junior and senior years.

Eliminating the dead period would be -- IMO -- a bad situation. Meaning, a lot of families actually schedule their family vacations around this time frame. You've got to create some time frame for a kid to have some time off. Meaning, don't burn'em out.

I can see Rutgers being ranked over Louisville but how does West Virginia get ranked over Louisville? Any answers out there?

I perfer the old playoff system. It's hard enough for some teams to beat their rivals during regular season but to play them practically back to back in some cases is rediculious.

Congrats to Newport for a great season and to Mercer County -- Good Luck for the remainder of the season. As far as the game -- IMO -- where was this #4 all season. This kid played a great game on offense. He caught some great passes throughout the game. I saw this kid come back for a pass when their QB was in trouble. Their QB has to be commended for his ability to overcome off field issues. He proved that he is a real competitor and knows how to take care of business on the field. That #2 -- all I can say about him is WOW. Kid you've got a future. Newport's defense was outstanding -- Great Job!

I think Dayton will stay in this game for the first half. But Beechwood has a lot of experience in the palyoffs so I think Beechwood will win by at least 2 td's. Good luck Dayton and congratulations on a great season.

I like the new turf -- IMO -- I think it helps with the passing game as far the speed of a receiver to get open. I had an opportunity to play on Highlands truf field a couple of times and I thought it was great. Actually I wasn't hurting as much as I would have played on natural grass. But then again I sure did enjoy the mud bowl games.
