In this game records mean nothing. These two schools play for pride at this point. But my guess will be Dayton 21 Bellevue 6. Bellevue just doesn't have the guns to compete.

From what I know Newport only had to beat NC because Bellevue and Dayton played upper classmen. Therefore they had to forfeit any wins they had.

Not sure. I really don't know much about Spencer County -- just trying to get a point across to Npt Buckeye that if you had injuries and know you could beat a weaker team at any point then why not rest your injuries and play mostly JV players.

NPT Buckeye -- THINK -- If you were playing JV players and your JV was getting their butts handed to them -- then you would have put your starters into the game. DUH!

I agree with you 100 percent! Coaches can only coach and attempt to install character in their teams but if a team has no character or even values then how is the coaching staff responsible for their losses.

At least someone has some faith in the young Cats! Newport wins by a field goal -- their kicker is good and should be kicking on Fridays -- IMO. :fire:

IMO -- you've got to consider the fact that North Oldham hasn't won a game on year. True they could have pulled off a big upset but if you have the guns and know you can win at any time then why not play your JV and if things appeared to not go in your direction then heat it up with your starters.

E70 -- no faith in the young Cats? Keep in mind that from what I've been told the young Cats have played a lot more freshmen teams that actually played 10th and 11th graders. Perhaps this may make them better prepared. :irked:

IMO -- maybe they were smart and knew they could win this game and decided to play their JV players to rest thier starters and heal injuries to get ready for the playoffs. IMO -- that would be what they call SMART COACHING.

To my understanding he should be a 10th grader???

Lets just say that if I was NewCath I would play my second string just to make the game interesting.:jump:

Good win to maybe regain some confidence as a TEAM. But from what I was told North Oldham was a yong team and they did manage to pick Newport's secondary apart on the opening drive.

I heard he never made it to Louisville. Watch a few games last year and the kid has some talent. Now he needs to work at it harder to improve the talent.

I think Spencer County will dominate this one. After beating Newport -- SC has a lot of confidence and that's going to carry them. From what I was told SC has a quarterback that can flat out pick your secondary apart. JUGGS 16 SPENCER CTY 35

IMO -- I don't think they've lost the heart to win or the will to win -- I think they need to come together as a team and realize that they are a team and not an "I". Unfortunately coaches can do so much and then it's up to the TEAM to come together.

:dancingpa Congrats to Zack! I think he'll enjoy playing at U of L. But I do agree with everyone as far as he needs to hit the wieghts hard in the off season.

I look for this one to go to Spencer County. The Jugs' need to come together before they're packing the gear away for the winter. However, the Jugs do play better in the last part of the season when it matters. This AA district could get interesting if the Jugs can hang on. The fourth spot may be between Newport and the Jugs.
