  1. I wish Scott football had a good program and there could be football rivalry with SK comparable to their basketball rivalry. The two teams don't even play each other anymore... Lame if you ask me.
  2. Her dad was a principal, so missing school should be rare, but good Lord. That's impressive.
  3. Wow. Saw this coming though. She was super talented as a freshman and only got better. Congrats.
  4. How many made it in the past compared to how many make it now. "A LOT" doesn't mean a whole lot without numbers. And no, basketball and baseball are different. For just about every school success isn't measured by a playoff appearance for those sports. Success comes from how deep of a run they make. But before the new football format some schools aimed to make the playoffs, and viewed making it there as a successful season. Now that more and more teams are making it that don't deserve it, it tarnished past teams that had to work really hard just to make it there. In other words you don't hear people talking about basketball or baseball and saying, "Thats a good team. They made the playoffs last year" They would say, "Thats a good team. They made it to the regional finals last year" or something like that. But for football at some schools people actually would say, "That was a good team. They made the playoff last year." But now that statement doesn't mean as much.
  5. This is disgusting. It puts such a damper on what past teams did by qualifying for the playoffs. It means so much less now.
  6. I honestly don't think homefield advantage is as much of a factor in high school ball compared to college or the pro's. It helps, but not nearly as much as you'd think.
  7. "What do you mean it was a fair catch signal? I saw him waving to his Mom before he ran it back for a touch down."
  8. Props to SK. Any Highlands people care to join?
  9. :thumb: SK again this year will be in the finals point blank. Yea they loose their key starters but they have their jv stepping up who lost 1 game last year and won the 9th region jv tournament. I agree with tiger and salum, Layne will be the leader and at the end of the year one of the best players in the region. Slavey, barnes, and ponzer will all be fine because if your forgetting they did go up against a very good point guard in practice every day for the past 2 years, and the same can be said for what brandon maegley had to go against in practice every day.:thumb:
  10. Simon Kenton made drastic improvements from last weeks game, and they played with a lot more heart. Dixie's offense struggled going up the middle, but they had no problem running to the outside of the defense. SK will be fine and will get better with every game and they will contend for the district crown. Dixie will also be fine. Maloney is a stud and he is a great kid as well.
  11. Don't donate any height though.:sssh:
  12. He is very fast and very talented. I wonder how much his size will affect his ability to play in college. It hasn't seriously affected him in high school, but college is a whole different game. Just imagine if he was 5 inches taller...
  13. Read the thread. Due to rules on this site the details cannot be discussed.
  14. It was actually the answer between dancing bananas. This is you:   nky-ledge
  15. You should be a politician. Because this is you:   answer   (dancing around the answer)
  16. Losing Tommy is going to be a big blow. I'm sure that this action was justified, and hopefully Tommy will learn from it. I wish him and the Pioneers the best.
  17. If they are an overrated program, then what program is so much better? I'll give you Highlands obviously, maybe Beechwood. But what 6A teams are that much better of a program? Because you say that if NCC played in a higher class, "they wouldn't have half the state championships they do". I'll maybe even give you that. Let's say they only get 1/3 of the state championships, that's still more than Ryle, Boone, or Cambell. Right?
  18. I think the only people who know that is the coaching staff.
  19. And i can guarantee he is walking on and like he said he is playing JV. Yes that is something to be proud of but 3 of top 4 players in the region besides daniel neeley played for sk hands down. Hester is not going to GTown because his ACT score was not high enough because the school he wanted to go to from the beginning because he had a full ride.
  20. He was interested in going to UK, obviously not for basketball, but it was a while ago that I talked to him so who knows now.
