No way. Cody is a good player but not good enought to play at Georgetown. They are one of the best NAIA programs in the nation year in and year out. He will play college basketball somewhere but not at Georgetown.

So then why do they have a tryout. They basically tried out all year from what your saying. The team should get picked by who plays well at the tryout. Last i checked most of the kids at the tryouts were atleast top 50 in the state.

Pettigrew had an automatic spot because he won Mr. basketball, he didnt even have to show up. So it wouldnt matter what he did. I still think proffitt should have made it and the pg for doss should have. I was at both tryouts and he could possibly be the only kid to stop Gordon. He is gonna be to quick for proffitt or walls. The coaches did a bad job picking the pg spot. Every other spot seems to be pretty tough though.

The point guard from Doss was by far the best pg at the tryouts. This is a shame he didn't make it. He had his way with every defender. This team is so rigged. Its all based on where your going to college at. Half the players on the team had horrible tryouts but because they're going to a big college, they make the team. Fraliex, Proffitt, Smith, Benock, even Walls and Beckham had bad tryouts but still their on the team. Good luck to the boys and I hope you guys beat Indiana. I just think there were alot of other kids deserving this achievement, than some. GO KENTUCKY

The problem is, you HAVE to take it's schedule into consideration, because a big part of the argument for Pelle is based on his stats, and a big part of his stats is based on his competition, like it or not. I think if Hill played the same competition, he would've dropped 50 a game; maybe this is because he's more selfish than Pelle, maybe Pelle could've just as easily, we'll never know. That's just my opinion. IMO Hill was the best player in NKY, but it's not much of an insult to be beat out by a player as good as Pelle. You can make an argument either way.

I agree to an extent, normally I'd agree completely. But apparently he is getting looks from A&M, Winthrop, and Xavier; so maybe they see something most don't?

But it's not like he's a poor ball handler or a poor shooter, true he needs to improve, but I can't see why he couldn't improve. I know I sound like a broken record, but the kid's potential is endless. I think he could do it.

I'd say he has the potential to be at the other 2. But potential is a VERY big word.

They will be, and it could effect his decision. But I just can't see him passing up offers from major DI schools.

I'm not sure he does yet, but I'd say he definitely has the potential. If he lives up to his potential, he can go as far as he wants. And I mean that in the broadest sense, we could be watching him on Sportscenter one day. The sky really is the limit for the kid. Not saying that will ever happen, but crazier things have.

I had the chance to watch Austin Hill work out and run with the starters for Northern today and was very impressed. I was sitting next to his Uncle and we talked for a little while about the possibility of NKU landing him, and other schools that were interested as well. I'd be schocked if Hill settled for NKU, he's too good IMO. He had the most athletic ability of anyone on the floor today and scored nearly whenever he wanted. And before I get trashed for saying he's too good for NKU, remember this was against their starting line up. He guarded Anthony Teague very well. It was quite impressive.

Agreed. I'll probably take criticism for this, but from watching the game and what I've seen before, Mayo was still EASILY the best player on the floor. He's the only player, IMO, that looked like he could easily make the jump from HS to Pros and be an impact player immediately.

The biggest reason I go to school here is because of the atmosphere and the people. I went to Florida for spring break and was disguisted at how mean, unhappy, and snooty natives are down there. There is just something about Lexington that other places can't match...

If Darius Miller or Bud Mackey, or any Kentucky Star did the same thing, we'd be celebrating it as a great and exciting play. People just love to hate OJ Mayo. It's sad. Anyone pretending HHS didn't play a harder schedule than ANY Kentucky team is biased. And they may not have won the 11th region title, upsets do happen, but they would've been the favorite, easy.

Yeah. He actually really underacheived in the tournament. He must've missed 9 three pointers tonight. He had a great career though. As well as the rest of the seniors. Independence is very proud of them.
