The offense seems to be on track with alot of people contributing, it is just a matter of getting those recievers healthy...The kicking has got to get better ( it could not get worse) and the defense...I think the coaches will fix the problems this week...

Daddy, Coach Woods was standing at the end of the field where a Harlan reciever had just caught a ball for a td on 3rd an goal and appeared not to have control of the ball as he went out of bounds in the endzone...All he did was question the call LOL...

Bubba is right Josh Crawford is a player, I really enjoy this kids game...I watched him score inside and put the ball on the floor and score outside against South Laurel...

Wburg put 20 points on Harlan last year in a 21-20 loss...Both teams return almost all of last years players...Harlan's defense is good as advertized, Wburg's offense can put points on the board...This will be a very good game...

Jumper there are bad fans at every school...At Somerset 3 years ago we had 4 drunk teenagers on our side that were raising heck with the Wburg fans and cheerleaders...It took a call from our mayor to yours to have them removed after complaining to the Somerset AD got nothing done...I am sorry you were not treated well at Wburg...

Corbin is growing at a very fast pace, there are 500 plus kids in Pre-Kid. At this rate it will not be long before they are AAA...4chs hit the nail on the head, back in the day Corbin got a few kids form Knox, Laurel, and Whitley, that does not seem to happen as much now...If the Christopher from Bell was there this thread may not even exist..One or two kids coming in every other year can really turn things around, it just does not happen often enough now...

There should be little change in the offense, Darrell Woods has always had control of the offense and will continue to do so. Jerry is a good guy and the kids will respond well to him. IMO you will notice very little difference in Jacket football.

Jim Black will be successful at Whitley County, the man is a winner. The problem will be in how everybody measures that. If advancing deep into the playoffs every year is the measuring stick, then some are going to be disappointed.

Rick Jones will interview for the Wburg job.

Why would Hicks leave Greenup? Because the administration wants him gone and are doing their best to run him off. Why come to the 13th? Maybe welcomes a challenge that a small school presents. Williamsburg has had some success in years past with the right coach in place in the 13th. Small schools will just have some down years due to numbers and thats just the way it is. Maybe you hit on something with him wanting to be close to home, things should shake out soon. Maybe he just wants out of Greenup.

1-Mark is looking for a college, Brent is a possiblity. Both are oustanding young men. 2-Interesting but I agree with you. 3-Guffy as a assistant sounds good, waits his turn. 4-Coach West may move on to clear waters, but something tells me not on the Cumberland River. Great basketball mind. The old faces are gone, who knows. 5-Rich has shown a little interest actually, but not likely. I think he really wanted the Whitley job. 6-Evans is a solid coach, I think KC is in his future in the next year or two. 7-Jim Rains is about done, will finish up in the near future. 8-A name I had forgot about. The job has just been posted lets see who bites.

Jim Hicks is at Greenup Co., they finished 19-11 and won their district and were 4 points away from playing in the region finals. Rumor has it that the higher ups at Greenup want him gone. He is Billy Hicks nephew. He might be a person of interest for the job at Williamsburg.
