Today at CCH Team Day two kid runs a 4.3!!!!

Featured Replies

Today during the iron man compition, two players from the CCH football team ran in the low 4.3- in the 40 yard dash (no running start) I could not catch the young mans name though. There were many other impressive times from some of the wide recivers and dbs. They ranged from 4.4-4.7. Who sayed cov cath didnt have speed.

I'm sure they are fast but I have a hard time believing they are that fast.

We all know how "coach" times are. I doubt there are 5 kids in the state that run a legit 4.3, much less two on the same team. There is a reason that many kids who were safeties in H.S. switch to LB in college, or LB to DE, etc. And it sure as heck isn't because they run 4.3's. I have seen most of the "skill" kids at CovCath, and I'd say there are maybe a couple of high 4.4's and a bunch of 4.6 kids. For H.S. football, that ain't bad!

Joe Castenada is the fastest kid on that team and he's probably a 4.4 - low 4.5.

Hand timed 40's are meaningless. Human reflexes just are not good enough to distinguish tenths of a second.

I find it very interesting that a Boone County supporter would be posting this information about players from a team they play in week #1.

Can someone from CCH confirm or deny this report?

Running a 4.5 would even be a stretch.

Unlike the Tory James topic, Wildcat, we agree COMPLETELY on the above.

Anyone that claims 4.5 or below is questionable at best in my book.

Maybe there was a strong breeze. Wind aided.

Those are the times that were recorded by the coaches, but like mountainmutt said how accurate can hand recorded times be. The point is that CovCath is going to be faster than a lot of people give them credit for.

I think those that are in the know and follow CCH know that the skill positions are rock solid this season.

Now, I don't believe that anyone even sniffed a 4.3 but I will guarantee you that Joe Castenada can run a 4.5.

Still won't be fast enough to beat the always speedy Birds... :D

:thumb: I would have to agree..
