Yes you are alone, every kid that high school football means somthing too in ky dreams about a ring, wether a coach instills it in too them a parent or the program. Yes kids really care about the ring. The state championship ring is a superbowl ring to an 18 yerar old kid who has worked for this thing for most of the time 12 + years.

No when someone says there is the oppurtunity to go 10-0 it means there is a good ball team coming up. That should be the goal of the community, coaches, and players. So yes that is being doubted. It can be done, not easy, but it can be done. That is the goal that is set.

Well opinions differ. I think homefield advantage are a big help in the playoffs. Corbin gave Russell all they wanted and more. At home we score all those times down in the red zone. Makes it a totally different game, not saying that russell wouldn't have stepped up to the occasion but I think home field makes a huge difference

Corbin will be tough.

Corbin will be very dominate in 2A next year. returning everything plus some young faces will play into the picture. There will be alot of experiance on the field. They will be hard to handle.

I left at the wrong time, i believe the score was 34-17 Danville, I thought i am gonna be the traffic. Got to the truck and hear roughing the kicker on danville and thought man i bet it will get good after that. Then a buddy a called me and said you shouldn't have left New Cath came back and won. I missed it but what i saw was a great game.

From what i have heard about Mercer's D, if russell puts 22 on them they are over rated. And with Russell's run D' as solid as it is i don't 41 going up on them off the ground. Could potentially be a low scoring game. Cant wait to see it.

For Corbin Clint Cashen at the QB spot and Sean Nolan in the DL spot. Without these two i feel the out come would have been altered

I stand corrected i thought i was said that the 40 times were done electronically.

I believe it, allmost every team has a kid or two that is extremely fast that they go too. Harrodsburg had one or two and mercer co had one or two. They came together and became pretty much unstoppable. The times were computer timed at Centre college, that is pretty impressive. Are any of these kids being currently pursued by and D-1 colleges?

Consolidation or no consolidation or from what i have heard i wouldn't matter too much which class they were in they would be a front runner. All though i don't agree with them being in 2A, but like it was said earlier that is beating a dead horse and it is was not the coaching staffs nor the players choice. The fact is they have earned this spot. In high school it is incredibly hard to go week to week to week and be a great football team with no mistakes or getting beat. I dont believe it would matter what class they were in they would probably be making the trip to louisville. They have beat some good teams in convincing fashion. So i think they have earned where they are at.

Now wait.... A mercer fan said earlier that the merge had been being talked about for a long time. Just took place this year. Why did the sytem allow this knowing that there was going to be a merge anytime?

:laugh: hmmmm like i said prioritys weren't in order before the merge was made, khsaa screwed up by not stepping in and making it right some how. I mean they should know what to do, thats why they are there.

Then maybe they should have been panalized by the khsaa and had to field two teams or somthing could have been worked out. The khsaa had no back bone in this one.

I think the years i put on here so far would make Corbin very deserving of being an Elite 2A program. I believe all of our years listed where in 2A also making us even more of a 2A elite program. I will find the rest of the numbers for you and there will be no question you could have. I was just sort of shocked when you left Corbin out of you elite list considering the very very historic past of this program. Maybe it wasn't intentional, but you sure sparked me to doing to research.

That is believable. You never know. But I think that most of the blame falls on the KHSAA for allowing it to happen.

Don't think that is the idea behind all of this. Or maybe i am missing it too. I think the reasoning behind it is a question of why it was done before everything was ready and why the KHSAA allowed it to happen. (them still competing in 2A) which from what i have heard about them 1 2 or 3A would be a cake walk for them. With 4A being there real competition. But i dont think the blame lays on the school system as much as is does the KHSAA for allowing them to be in the same class. The only blame on the sytem would be doing this so late and before things were in order.

Will the new school be near the new field house that they have?

I consider the Foothills the mountians. You play mountain style football anyhow.
