Corbin 63 Garrad 6 No missed PAT's this week.

So far this year even though they have been recorded as losses the 'big' teams that were supposed to dominate corbin did not. Then again the ones who were not supposed too gave us trouble. If in the instance that corbin and russell both made it to play up in ashland i think i would be a very good game. Rock all you heard was very very big a physical and they would control the line of scrimmage and run wild, it didn't happen. Same with Bell and Middlesboro, allthough middlesboro did run a little wild b/cof speed corbin kept up on the offensive side of the ball. Hopefully if that game is the case corbin has matured in to alot better of a ball team and will rise to the occassion and play another great ballgame against another great team. I watched Russell play last year in louisvill and they were very good and physical so they have only gotten better. I look forward to it. We have to conquer the task at hand to have the oppurtunity to proove our selves first.

There is absolutley nothing negative you can say about the performance tonight. Very solid half by Corbin. This should have given them the confidence they need to make a run in the playoffs.

Have had the oppurtunity to be on different natural fields and many field turf. We at corbin have a indor practice facility with a very nece turf field. The old Cardinal Stadium Turf was nice because of all the history imbedded into the turf but it was pretty hard compared to some. And then Belfry's field terf is second to none had the oppurtunity to step on it earlier this year and it is unbelievable. I have been on others including Lex Cath and that at the Nutter Field house at UK. All though field turf looks very nice and makes you faster i am still partial to natural bermuda playing surfaces if they are kept up well.

At a football game the football program should get all gate.

So you are saying that coaching didn't play a big part in teaching 'some' kids how to play the game around the one and only stud? Agreed the Lawson was a huge part of the success.

Isaac Mills, Eric Blackwood, and Ryan Tate made Clint a good QB as well as Clint unbelievable abilty to see the field, know coverages, and throw the ball. He is a great QB but you have to have some experiace surrounding you. Don't doubt it, they will find their click in the palyoffs and look out next year. The recievers we have now are still growing up and in to their positions. Rob Madon is a great reciver and is showing his potential, he will end up being a big time player the kid has as much heart and leadership abilty as anybody on the team. Jordan Wagers needs the experiance, he showed at M'boro he has the potential and size to rack up some big time numbers. Jake Reeves is a first year player, allthough he is doing a good job when his number is called he doesn't have the experiance either. What more can you ask for as far as a back catching the ball out of the ball field as Josh Sanders does.

At Corbin the Coach Jewell is very involved along with volunteers that care about kids and the future of Corbin football. The citys recreation department is a huge part of it also. Anyone who wnats to try and start one has to realize there is alot of countless hours involved, not just during season but in the off season. Cleaning, counting, recertifing, and repairing equipment takes time. K-2 there is flag football, 3-4 there is full contact football, then there is another group of tackle football for 5-6.

Things are a little rough and will get alot better. But this is the same staff that everybody was so amazed with until this past two years. So don't call for the lynch mob when things don't go exactly how people think they should because of a personal thing against a 'couple' of coaches or any other problem with them. The kids are young right now, the play offs and next year will be a different story, when corbin does well next year will people still be bashing coaches? If they go 8-2 in regular season like many season's past will they still need to be gotten rid of? Let me answer it for all the trigger happy fans, NO!

Corbin goes east in the 3rd round. Besides what do you know about what is acceptable for Corbin nowadays. You don't.
