MVP vs. Mr. Football

A little twist on the whole Mr. Football discussion:

Which player(s) would you nominate for "most valuable" to his team, and let me explain...

If X plays without Anderson they still had Duece.

If T plays without Petrino they still had Stein (arguably a bigger gap than the X example.)

But if Male plays without Beaumont their team is completely changed. Same could be said for Minnifield at HC.

What other single players out there were so valuable to their teams that, had they been lost for some reason, it would have completely altered the season that the team had?

For Danville, I would say the Admirals without either BJ Strode or Jacob Bryant; those guys are very valuable to this team's success; and possibly Rich Witten-the backup Gray is pretty good but not sure he is ready for primetime just yet :)

oh yeah, the one that would be missed the most is Gerald Hughes, hands down.

Everyone will get to see the X example next year as they return most of the team and the Duece will be the man. For T the same can be said with Stein at QB as most of the O return minus some great Line players(Center and Guard). Minnifield for HC without question he was everything for them this season. As for Beaumont Male would have had a very good team without him but with what he brings to the table without quetion not the same team IMO.
