  1. I know of 7 or 8 Highlands football players laying around my pool last thursday and friday after they had weightlifting from 9 to noon. After swimming and hanging out in the pool several of them went fishing later that afternoon and evening. Point being these kids still get to do the thing's they like to do.
  2. This post ought to get this thread going!!! So your saying that Trinity doesn't have play anyone until the finals??
  3. My only question is why would a school as big as Ryle play a kid that is an 8th grader?????? I know it was only jv but there's got to be some sophomore's and jr's that they should be developing.
  4. Back in the mid 70's a pitcher named Mole Tanner had some pretty nasty stuff. He would throw righthanded and then during the same at bat he would throw a pitch lefthanded. Sweeperboy, do you remember him???
  5. Does that mean we can't talk about Highland's football for two week's????????
  6. I played against some these same players as well. Ron Peters from Campbell Co. was tough and so was Doug Pedicord from Scott.
  7. The Colonel's and then the Royal's tonight at Highlands. This should be a real good test for the Bird's.
  8. What took so long on the arch????? JK... His real job must have held him up!
  9. Did Trinity have all their skilled players at Highlands today? Whiting looks to be the real deal. How tall and what kind of weight does he play?
  10. How about head butting the reciever off the line??? Hand check yes, helmet to the body is a little out of line.
  11. Henry, I'll be there. Better get there early if you want a good seat.LOL
  12. How old is this Mills kid?????
  13. You are right Henry, it is the 18th. I'm glad you are keeping an eye out for us middle aged football rumdummies.
  14. June 17 the Bird's have a 7 on 7 with Trinity at Highland's ( 9:00 to 1:30 ). Does anyone know who the other team's that are playing?
  15. I believe at 7:30 at Highlands
  16. I just watched the Highlands-Beechwood scrimmage and he looked quite well against your tigers last year. Does #26 return for the tigers this year? He seem to have a good motor towards rushing the qb. If so he could be one of the top lineman in NKY this year.
  17. A quote like this should take some pressure off Listerman. You people are unbelieveable!
  18. Will he be able to play as a senior???? I thought that you only get 4 yrs of high school football?
  19. So where are we eating this week???????
  20. I just watched the CovCath - Birds playoff game. This was the young man that took the block from Ryan Ball on the kickoff.(What a block!) He look's to be a pretty good lb'er.
  21. Who are some of the players for this freshmen group?
  22. You know Dale, he won't leave a rock unturned. He'll bring in the best if that's what it takes to make his kid's better.
  23. I think you will see Oliver Head play the position that Drew Simons played last year. Michael looked very good during spring ball. You also have Teddy Abner and Spencer Bankamper coming back from injuries last year. The Birds have plenty of depth at lb just not alot of varsity experience.
  24. The new game at the beach this year was called salt. (sand at low tide) It has to do with a baseball and two holes at waters edge and yes there was plenty of football talk. More to come later.
