It's called "Unity". You build from within and this group of kids do it all year long. You can't knock them until you've been there! Total dedication!

Adam Dempsey is a returning offensive lineman for Highlands. The linemen went to his house for dinner (they normally go to a restaurant, but this week went to Adam's house for dinner). I'm not sure why its funny either. I think more people think the fact that a thread was started to tell people that the linemen went as a unit to dinner is funny. Not to me, but then again, to each their own.

If having dinner as a group brings them closer together and builds some stronger bonds between them then I think it's a good thing. They'll be all that much more willing to go to battle together as a unit than they would be if they're just 5 individuals who only see each other around school and at practice.

 

It might seem funny and/or trivial to post a thread about a dinner. But it's all the small little things the team and community do that make them successful. If some teams did the little things, maybe they'd be a little more successful on the field.
