Its crazy, we stayed home this year and its like a ghost town.

 

Im sure there is plenty of Bluebird football talk going on down south on the beach during those all day cornhole games its just not being documented. Good times !

Senior leadership is key for success. The Birds have the personel to repeat as 5A State Champions.

The O-line HAS to gel. At times this spring they looked outstanding...at others, they looked as though they had growing pains. Backfield will be tremendous on O & D. LB's will be strong and D-line will have another stellar year with a large rotation of players. Kicking game will need a major "step-up" as they lose alot in that area from last year. I do believe they have enough to return to PJS in December!

The new game at the beach this year was called salt. (sand at low tide) It has to do with a baseball and two holes at waters

edge and yes there was plenty of football talk. More to come later.

Hmmm, playing with a "Baseball" on spring break. Who would have thunk.:lol: I just had to.

A previous post mentioned the offensive line as being a question mark.

 

I will add that the change in starting QB will be a question mark... HHS lost a two-year starter and state title game MVP in Clay Cecil. Guidugli (the presumed starter) will really need to step it up for the 'Birds to pick up where they left off in 2007. The encouraging news is that apparently Guidugli looked very good in spring practice.

And he'll only continue to get better! There will be a noticeable difference between the two QB's...but the offensive production will remain the same! They tell me that "there's more than one way to skin a rabbit!" :banana:

Not too worried about the O line, Dempsey will be the leader of the line and I would say the Birds coaching staff has a pretty good track record of piecing together a pretty decent O line by taking a piece from here and a piece from there. Before you know it, you've got the best O line in school history!

A major determining factor of how the 'Birds will fare in 2008 is how they will match up with CCH this year. It sure sounds like CCH is going to have an experienced, monster offensive line this year, plus an experienced, athletic QB. HHS' defense and defensive coaching staff will have their hands full this year!
