With the kids they have coming back, he won't get enough snaps to be an "All Star". That's the thing about HHS. They rotate so many kids in and out that you just don't get to hear about how good they are or could be. I bet you see as many as 7 or 8 kids rotating or should be rotating on the defensive line this coming year. I guess Donnie will be one. Time will tell.

I have been told by a very reliable source that Frank and Rosenhagen will get 85-90 percent of the snaps on the D line. Frank at nose and Rosenhagen at end. Not sure who the other starter is.

Look Donnie is a very good football player. We can agree on that. I'm not sure Donnie would have been a starter last year, as he wasn't during the time that he was on the team. He rotated in a lot though and played well. If he plays this year, he may be a starter or he may be someone that rotates in a lot. As tdy pointed out, we rotate a lot of players in on the D line. And frankly, I don't think it matters much whether those guys start or just rotate in a lot. Bottom line is that if Donnie plays, he will help our D line considerably and make what already is going to be a strength of the team be even stronger. Heck, I hope he and several other D linemen become All Stars. No one that I know of is rooting against Donne. Let's just not make him an all star before he becomes one.:thumb:

My "wild card" player is Peter Bardgett...he has really bulked up and could earn his way back into either an O or D line position. That could start a ripple effect on who plays where and how much. He left about half way through the regular season as I recall. I won't and I hope no one else gets into why he left. But I will say it wasn't for anything terrible. Let's leave it at that, if that's okay.

This guy will start somewhere...OL or LB. One of the hardest working and most improved Bird I've seen. (gee...is there a correlation here with hard work vs. improvement??? Hmmmmm???) :sssh:

From an outsider looking in at the 97 Highlands team was the play of their LBers and their O-line. Both groups were outstanding. Might of been one of the better set of LBs I've seen in a long time. Aggressive and smart. Their O-line would blow people up at the point of attack. It can't be easy to replace those studs that are now gone. Or can it?
