You are welcome. Raising a question is one thing and totally acceptable of course. Making false statements on here is another thing and will get your chops quickly busted everytime:D.

No Jack it isn't when all the positions are determined in spite of your repeated claims to the the contrary. And spring football is NOT why kids don't go out for baseball and they are NOT told that jobs could be won or lost based on their performance in spring football. I've tried to gently correct you of your misinformation in the past. Let me use the 2x4 approach.

 

You should be ashamed of yourself for repeating posting misinformation on here. I know it may be a tad bit hard for you to comprehend, but some kids (and a lot of kids in Ft. Thomas) like football more than baseball. And Stickymitts when he made his one post about Highlands baseball confirmed that the football coaches do NOT in any way discourage kids to play baseball. To the contrary, they encourage them to do so. Mueller in particular almost begged Josh Conner to play baseball. And you may not know who Sticky is, but dang it I do and he has no reason to lie on that point. The number one reason by a blooming country mile as to why more football players (and other athletes) don't play baseball is because of the Spring Break rule. I know a lot of these kids as my younger son played Knothole baseball with them for years. I have personally asked them and their parents why they don't play baseball as I wish they would as it would make out baseball team much better. I have yet, read closely here, yet to hear them say its because spring football. Its because of the Spring Break policy. Do you have that? Do you understand? Heck, don't trust me: ask the Collinsworths why Austin doesn't play; ask the Rollers why Brandon doesn't play; ask the Bardos why Will doesn't play. If you know so much, surely you know those parents. Ask them and I can guarantee you that not a single one will tell you its because the football coaches told them they may not have a starting spot in the fall in the football team and its not because the football coaches discouraged them not to play baseball. Use a little logic: do you really think that Austin Collinsworth or Brandon Roller or Will Bardo, all exceptional baseball players, would not be starting this year in football if they played baseball? Please don't further undermine your "credibility" by saying you think these guys wouldn't start in football if they played baseball this past spring.

 

Ollie Head played baseball. He'll start in football this year. Cody Rosenhagen played baseball. He'll start in football this year. Do you catch the trend here? man, you are so far off the mark, its silly.

 

But at least you got one thing right in your post: replacing the Oline is going to be critical.

Those in attendence at the 7 on 7 were Fairfield, Withrow, and Beechwood . Highlands looked good. Both QB's had a good day.

I am really looking forward to seeing a healthy Blake Newman at LB this year!

 

He was a beast as a sophmore but was limited by injury his junior season. If Blake is healthy this season, I feel for the opposing RBs and QB's.

I agree with you that he was a force on JV. It just hasn't panned out for him on the Varsity level because of injuries. Hopefully he gets healthy and can compete this year. It will take a healthy one at that, because HHS has a ton of qaulity players lickin their chops to play.
