Great to see the Owls back in the regional tournament. Hopefully they go in as winners. Congrats to Coach Davidson on the job he has done with Owsley County this season.

The 14th region is spread half way across the state. You have Estill and Powell County located almost in central Kentucky and you have Jenkins located on the Border in eastern KY. Jenkins and LCC would benefit by going to the 15th region, or Powell and Estill would benefit in the 11th region.

Good win for PCC. Shelby Valley doesnt need to hang their head by losing to this team. IMO PCC will win the 14th region and if teams play at Coach Hatchers pace then they are capable of winning a few games in the state tourney.

KCC and PCC are the two elite teams in the 14th. I have seen both teams play and I would have to still give the nod to PCC to win the 14th.

On January 22, 2010 during the semi final game of the 14th region All A Classic tournament. Owsley County sophomore Peyton Wright scored her 1000th career point in a win over Wolfe County. Congrats Peyton.

Buckhorn has played Hazard and PCC close all year but was unable to get over the hump. This is a good win for them and Coach Noble. The 54th district will be a boxing match this season.

PCC and KCC are the top two teams in the region. However I look for PCC to win the region. but the draw in the district tournament will have a big effect on who is in the region, PCC Buckhorn and Hazard are all very good and two of these teams will play in the first round of the district.

Shelby Valley should win this tourney easily. I watched both games last night, and I must say that Valley was by far the better of the teams. Knott County may put up some resistance on their home court but after watching KCC game agianst Hazard I dont think they have the tools to contend with SV.

I watched him the game agianst Owsley County last night. He is the Powell County team. I assure you without him Powell is not an 8-2 team.

Breathitt is a very improved team from last year. There were several grumblings over Coach Doug Noble last season, but I'd say that those are over with now.

Knott is one of the top 2 teams in the 14th region. They return the majority of their team from last season and have a new Coach. (Dave Fraley.

Knott County has changed coaches and are one of the top teams in the 14th this season. I am looking forward to seeing this team play.

A good win for Coach Noble and Buckhorn. Looks like Buckhorn will be making some noise in the 14th region.

Glad to hear he is doing better. I enjoy his emails on girls basketball, it amazes me how he is able to keep up with so much across the state.

After the top three it is anybody's ball game.

Powell Should be better than they were last season. With the returning players and a year in Coach Hall's system, the pirates should be much improved.
