Owsley County won their second game in the Red River Classic at Powell County over Greenup County.

They beat South Floyd the day before by 12, and are in the final game tonight against host Powell County.

Did anybody else listen to this game? On the radio Greenup Co. was up 10 points 46 to 36 with about 3 minutes left in the 3rd. The coach put in his subs and they scored 2 points and slowed down the ball.The score was 48 to 46 Greenup Co. starting the 4th. The 4th he said they were playing slow down ball and that the coach never should have put in his subs when they had Owsley Co. down by 10. It changed the game. He is playing not to lose and cost Greenup Co. the game. Post game the coach blamed it on the team again saying that he has no leaders and not looking at things he done wrong.

I knew they blew a 10 pt lead, but that was it. Did he really blame the boys again?

I guess not, I just cant figure out why he keeps doing this in the post game interviews, it obviously isnt motivating the boys. Its just going to bring hard feelings form parents and players.

Who coaches Greenup County? They are way too lean and athletic to lose to teams like Bracken County and Owsley County. What are they rated in their district and region?
