Colonels win in a rather boring game. Stephens got the win, Houlehan closed it out, and Blazjeweski homered.

It was brought to my attention by a certain someone.....that one student was left out. Sean McGee was another student down at Rupp last night. And he, not Blazejewski is the spirit club president.

Austin Hill needs a real quarterback for everyone to see how good he can be at WR.

Just a little side note....the pictures from the Post and Enquirer read that #20 with Landrum is Brandon Brown. It is actually Rolle....I wanna say his name is Chris but I usually refer to him as Samari so I could be wrong.

Unfortunately, one day we're gonna see a "small school public champion", "big school public champion", "small school private champion", and a "big school private champion." I hope I'm wrong.

Tim Tierney was not "a" top PG in NKY this year...he was THE top PG in NKY. There wasn't a game I went to that I wasn't impressed by his overall play and leadership. A great player and great kid. Looking forward to see where he plays his college ball.

First off, I'm the biggest CovCath supporter you'll find so I wasn't bashing CCH at all. Second of all, I'm glad to see you support your coach...Loyalty is a good thing to have. 1. Taking the team to the playoffs is no feat considering all you have to do is beat Grant County. 2. Rodenberg came in right around this time last year...in time for spring practice. 3. I have nothing against the offense...I like it. 4. I felt that he was overhyped...and too often, people were disrespecting Coach Ray. I can't do better than Rodenberg...I'm in college. Accept my comments for the logic, if nothing else.

theguru must know about a few hundred undiscovered athletes roaming the halls in Park Hills. There's always going to be a time when an "elite" program has a down period (see UK basketball '05-'06). CCH is in that right now, Highlands will be in a "down period" at one point or another. It's inevitable. Regardless CCH is still a top team in 3A year in and year out and a program based on a tradition of winning. And until further notice, the best "cook" for CCH just left in 2005. Staying on this whole cooking analogy (which I like), Rodenberg didn't exactly prove to be Emeril Lagasse in his debut season.

I would think the offensive/defensive line will struggle but the skill positions are loaded. With the line losing players/leaders like Spradlin and Fangman, some younger guys will need to step up. The senior class, however, is loaded with skill positions. It will be fun watching Bo, Sutton, Castenada, Brown, Bleser...

After realizing that I misinterpreted it, I would've asked theguru to revoke my membership if I didn't make that edit...on the basis of pure stupidity.

As a Covington Catholic grad, I hope you enjoy yourself down at Rupp, you'll never forget it. However, I would hope you could grasp the "consept" of spelling as well as you have grasped the concept of the student section. I know Ms. B will certainly hope so by your senior year. Go Colonels.

Is the girls state tournament held at WKU?

For CCH: I'm pretty sure Peter Sutton isn't playing...Also, regardless of being a freshman, Luke Maile has a good shot at being the starting catcher I would think. Larkin belongs in the infield, not behind the plate. Factor in Farrell pitching and Maile's talent/potential and he could be starting.

If we're thinking of the same fiasco, it was Randy Myers, not Bovard.

9th is a good possibility if CCH plays like they did against Highlands...lots of offense.

The great thing about Noll's 30 points? I would assume it's still less than his ACT score. You have to love seeing kids like Noll get to shine on nights like this. Great, very smart kid.
