I am sure that Ballard will bring a different game this time around. I think one of the critics is still suffering from Male's loss last years to the Rocks. But the Bruins game will be a lot closer game that any in recent years. 21-14

The Tigers are definately the number #1 team in the State, I don't think anyone has the horses to stay with they for four quarters, the only team even close would have to be Henry Clay and they may make it interesting for a half , just like Cov Catholic.

jimmy ref, I think that I had read on an earlier thread that you have a son, who may play for the Tigers, or at least I think that I read that. Well my question is if you do, how do you know so much about the Rocks Team, do you have the game taped or how the heck do you seem to know so much about your arch-rival. Do you attend the rocks games, and miss your sons games or what I a bit confused. But as I said before I appreciate your comments, right or wrong.

Waiting to hear from the BGP famous JimmyRef's, and his thought's about the game and his insights in to the Rocks, he is very good at breaking down each Rock Game and he has insights that very few seem to have, like he may beat to a different drum, but he does make for a good discussion.

I admire Butler for playing two of the big three schools in Louisville, and I appreciate that Trinity didn't run up the score on a team that had the right idea, to play the best teams in Louisville. I can also see why Eastern High School and Mr. Sexton refuses to play the private schools in Louisville after St. X scored 76-0 on a public school that is definately down and short of players. The Bears and their coaches will rebound and there will be a day for them to remember this defeat. Good Luck the rest of the year to the Butler Bears.

I wonder if there are any out of state players on either of these teams, Trinity or St Xavier, I know in the mountains you can not live in Tennessee and play high school sports in the Eastern Kentucky area.

I thought as long as the student athlete lived in the state, they could play at any private school they wanted, at least thats how it is in my neck of the woods. What do you mean that Trinity didn't show everything during this game. Do they usually have that many mistakes and turnovers.

It was just a game everybody, and a great game for the fans. I think X had to win this game, they wanted it much more than the Rocks they needed it to keep their program in the up-right direction. The Umbrella was an embarassing mommt for all fans, including Tiger Fans, Rock Fans and especially for Kentucky High School Sports. I heard there was also a casket brought to this game by students just in case the tigers would have lost. Great game Tigers, keep up the good work and I hope you get the chance to see the Rocks again this year, just for your sake.:banana:

Last night St. X was the team with the most points at the end of the game, so at least for today they are the best team in the state. But from everything I have read today on BGP and the Lexington Herald newspaper, Trinity had more total yards 346-278, more first downs 19-9, more passing yards 207-44 and many more penalty yards 98-33 and X just won by a score of 24-15. It may me a short lived party for the Tigers.:dancingpa

I think that St.X will have a tough time stopping Trinity's Offense, but if they do they could very easy beat the Rocks. Speed will be a big problem for the Tigers and they will have to pass the ball to win.

A great high school football game played between two great teams. B/G showed that they had already played a game and Trinity showed it was their first game. I think the referees showed that this may have been a first game of the year for some of those guys too. even thought I thought that it was a pretty even called game, they missed calls on both sides. Good luck B/G hope that we both get to the pizza box in December and take home the hardware in 5-A & 6-A. Great call to add the rocks to your schedule and a great test for us.

I have heard from several friends who have seen Trinity's last two scrimmages and it appears to them that Trinity definately has the best O-Line this year, three returning starters (Roby, Griffin, Kupper)from last year. I was told that they man-handled Scott County and Lex Catholic in scrimmages. Are they set on the two spots that had to be filled from last years graduation.

I have heard from some T friends that the offensive line seems to be fairly well set except the left offensive guard, there is about four players vying for that spot. So there has to be some getting used to each other since the l/g & C will be new this year, but I believe they will be ok.:dancingpa L/T Sam Roby L/G ??????? I heard that Scott Radcliff a junior receiver was doing very well and should be a big help to the receiver group. The kid who transfered from St.X, Zack Slayton a senior who sat out last year has quit the team, I just heard that today, any one know what happened. I heard the a soph running back #33 I don't know his name is real quick and could also help in the backfield this year.

Who are the candidates for o/l center position, and how does the defensive line and defensive backs look overall.

Does anyone know anything about the player who transfered from St.X to Trinity last year he was a lineman from I think St. Patrick? Where will he play at Trinity, what is his height and weight now.

Is the Cox kid a Junior or Senior. Is he too old to play HS Baseball next year? Where is the Osborne kid, going to play in college. Is Bill Miller retiring this year. Just heard it yesterday, said he was going to spend more time running his grass infield company, in Indiana?

What is the health status of LB W.Weitlauf? What is the story with DE, A. Deeds is he injured, did he play baseball? I had heard that one of last years starters O/L K Griffin was working out with the O- line at the center position recently, is this true or rumor? I don't think that he was at the 7 on 7 games last Friday, does anyone have any info about this? I thought that W. Stein, looked great Friday, pretty quick on his feet, smart kid, I hope that he is as successful as his former teammates were at QB. What happened to the kid who transfered from X (Slayton) is he still playing football. Sad times at Rockland with the terrible news of LSU Rock passing, our prayers are with him and his family. :cry:

Trinity also has the Radcliff kid who I think is a sophmore who will be a great speed receiver, just as fast at the Duttons and great hands. Anthony Kelley a senior could also help this year.
