Middlesboro is always a tough matchup in the playoffs. Kenny Roark has a knack for having his teams ready, so in order to win Corbin must bring their A game to Campbell Field. The 48-15 win Corbin had earlier in the year is very deceiving as this game was much closer than the score indicated. However, Coach Jewell is much to experienced in playoff games to allow his team to look ahead to a potential matchup with NCC, and I believe with all my heart the Redhounds will be ready and will post their 11th win on friday night! :jump:

Corbin will not have an easy road next Friday. That being said, the kids will be ready to rumble and we will advance to round three after a hard fought battle. GO HOUNDS!:dancingpa

Are you aware that Middlesboro was only down 5 points late in the 3rd (20-15) and with the ball???

 

 

A few mistakes late in the game for M'boro made the final score look worse that what it really was.

This won't be a walk in the park for the Hounds like people are thinking. Sure Corbin won by 33 a few weeks ago but that game was a lot closer going into the fourth quarter. Middlesboro absolutely will bring their A game and will want to get the upper hand in this rivalry game. I think the Hounds pull it out but they will have one heck of a fight on their hands. I just hope they don't let the win streak and hype get to their heads. I trust the staff that they won't allow that to happen. This is a big trap game with the #1 vs. #2 Corbin vs. Newport Catholic game on the horizon if both teams win.

I'll say this one may be closer and pick the Hounds 38-28. Prove me wrong Hounds and get those youngsters some playing time Friday night!!!!

I'm going to go by an earlier post where M'boro was down only 5 in the 4th qtr. and lost by 33, which apparently made it a closer game then it was. Is this correct????

 

LC was only down 7-0 to the Jackets going into the 2nd half and lost 21-0. Can we call that a nail biter now????

 

Funny, but it did not seem at the time that we were all that much closer to winning that game at the end.....

Not so fast my friend, it will be closer than the experts think...but the Hounds survive and move on to play another day.
