Wow! Is this St. X's highest point total ever? Largest margin of victory?

Yikes! :scared:

Let me add a few more, ouch!:scared::scared::scared::scared:

Wootis (Jeremiah Neal ) sophomore running back (3rd string) scores in the first quarter. 55-0 at half. Butler got I think 3 first downs.

As far as I know yes. Previous best 71-0 vs. Male in 1976.

The best part of this situation is that it is OVER..... Not good for Butler and Not P.C. for the Tigers. I understand that the 2nd's, 3rd's and 4th's need to play, and they did..... I just feel for the Bears in this one........

X Football: Most Points in a game => 79 vs. Seneca 1996

Largest Margin of Victory => 76 vs. Atherton 2002

Last night's game ties the record for Largest Margin of Victory.

Best thing is that it is OVER for all involved.......

It is very painful to sit through a game like this. Even harder to call on the radio.

I hate to see scores this lopsided, but it sounds like the Cubs got in early and still performed well. Butler is obviously undermanned this year, but one positive is that the younger guys are getting a lot of experience. Hopefully it'll payoff for them down the road in a couple of years.

There seem to be problems with Butler's football program. Players have left throughout the season, including several this week. My understanding is that some starters, including the QB, were freshmen.

With the new alignment, these 2 teams will likely meet in the first round of the playoffs.

Ouch.

Double ouch!

I think a great deal of credit needs to go out to Butler and all associated with them......for "showing up" and entering the contest against the NO. 1 team in the State. I greatly admire these programs who may be down at present, but nevertheless come to play for all the right reasons.

It appears to tie the all-time record at St. X for most points scored and largest margin of victory:

2002 - Atherton, 76-0

Some other huge wins in St. X history:

1996 - Seneca, 79-7

1976 - Male, 71-0

2003 - Atherton, 70-0

1994 - DeSales, 69-0

1968 - Bourbon County, 66-0

1999 - Doss, 69-8
