This game, along with the Campbell/Boone game should be the top games in NKY this week. (I am leaving out NCC/Ryle because it is not district.)

Who is QB for Newport? Is Arkansas back?

This is a very good Beechwood team. They have size and a great running back. The only piece missing from previous years is overall team speed. That is not saying they are slow, only not as fast as previous years. Dayton should expect Beechwood to play smashmouth football. If, and a big if, Dayton can make a couple of stops, control field position, they have a chance. I like Beechwood in this one.

I saw Dayton/Holmes. Actually picked Holmes to win because a bigger size school SHOULD find a way to find and utilize more athletes and speedy skill kids. I was wrong. Dayton was impressive. Scott traditionally is very weak. So, I will have to pick a solid Green Devil team.

I had posted several weeks ago that I liked Jordin and Blake. However, I was resigned to the fact that Blake would be sent packing. Last night was a total shock. I am glad Melinda goes home. I couldn't take that "who, me?" look any longer. Now I have my two favorites in the finals. Prediction: Jordin wins by a large margin.
