  1. Consider this option: As it looks like BB will only play a JV schedule for a couple of years and (after the initial excitement wears down) JV games are not huge draws, It could be possible to play the season with only one or two home games. Surely, CCMS could give time on a Sat. morning, afternoon or weekday to let this happen. The bigger question would be "Where do they practice?" CCMS, CCHS, St. Mary's? This would give two or three more years to "find" a home field.
  2. He may not be SEC or BIG TEN size, but plenty big enough for D-II or some JUCO. Besides being fast, Lincoln is one of the toughest kids I know. Unlike some "speed" backs, who don't like to get hit repeatedly, he can take a pounding. As long as he decides to take care of academics, he can have a decent college career.
  3. Your right. They do need a very dedicated coach. I believe it goes deeper than that. They have to have an administration that is dedicated to football as well. I've spoken with several Bracken parents who feel that is not the case. They beleive that football is not a priority. Until that changes, I would not look for Bracken to win any more than 1 or 2 games a year, especially in their district.
  4. Blame it on my gene pool. :creepy:
  5. Does anybody know if NCC is getting rings and what they will look like? I know that thier other title in 84, the players got some of those "cool" looking gold nylon jackets. Perhaps they could get those players an anniversary ring to celebrate the first title.
  6. How about Coach Finn at Bellevue. He has many years of experience with some as a head coach, knows many different systems and is very dedicated to the sport. This much I know is true: There are not many like him around.
  7. i'd say Jeremy White of bellevue gets alot... even though there not having the best season he's amazing to watch just coming off a 36point night tuesday against villa.. :thumb:
  8. Is that Tubby Smith sitting behind OJ as he is taking his shot? It is not too clear. I know he is high on his recruiting list.
  9. The so-called defined feeder system that some posters are stating are already in place is inacurrate. For example: St. Joseph Cold Spring supports Bishop Brossart High School, but many may choose to attend NCC. This does not make St. Joseph, Cold Spring a feeder school. Would these kids be ineligible under this proposal?
  10. If I recall, part of the "feeder system rule" does not pertain to class A schools. Didn't they propose a 20 mile radius for class A private schools to draw from. If that is correct, then 20 miles from HC would reach well into Cincy. NC can still get kids from as far as Falmouth.
  11. I wasn't at the game, so could somebody help me here. Did the radio say that NCC threw a TD on 4th down when they were up by 35 in the 4th quarter.
  12. These two teams do have some distant history. Mayfield beat NCC in the finals in both 85 and 86.
  13. No, the computers in Bellevue still work fine. I am sure that after a big loss like the one Bellevue took last night, it will take time for the Tiger faithful to heal, swallow their pride and return to BGP. However, as has been posted numerous times in the Bellevue/NCC threads you continue to show a lack of class. Sportsmanship means learning how to lose with dignity and winning with class. Continuing to kick a team or fan when they are down is cheap. If I remember right, in a thread for the first Bellevue/NCC game, you actually called yourself a jerk. Well, if the shoe fits... Oh, by the way, Congratulations to NCC. (you still have 3 games left)
  14. Because we can recognize a good team since we are not looking down our noses from our pedestal.
  15. The absolutely best place to be is the NCC/Bellevue game. This is a contrast of styles. NCC likes to throw it around and Bellevue keeps it on the ground. When they played earlier in the slop, neither offense was very effective. This should be a good one.
  16. While Diehl is certainly deserving, I feel that Lincoln Adams should have been the POY. Diehl is a great player on a great team and has started since his frosh year. But, Adams has put up numbers that have led NKY all year and is in his first year as a running back. Remember, this kid was a little used tight end and nose guard last year. Adams IMHO should have been the POY. :ylsuper:
