Multiple championships by NEW class system
hurricane replied to 72birdman's topic in KY Football (High School)
IMO, it doesn't make since to ague that the championships are watered down. It is what it is. As a player or coach your goal is to win championships. It is not the fault of either that KY has decided to go to 6 classes. I will be happy for everyone who wins a championship. Just because KY added 2 classes doesn't water down the hard work put in over the summer and during the season. The games still have to be played. Let the kids celebrate, that's what it is all about. -
Was Shawnee that good or was Atherton that bad?

Is Estill still that same old running team that likes to wedge everything between the tackles? -
Estill Co. Vs Letcher Co. Central Predictions?
hurricane replied to Roughneck40's topic in KY Football (High School)
Are you serious about the Mumme ball?:scared: Wow, talk about going to the extreme. That would be like Fat Anna Nicole Smith playing "TrimSpa Baby" Anna. -
Can a student be a coach? I know of a student who is very interested in helping start and run the program.
-
He is a good coach, I hope he was able to continue in the teaching field and coach High school b-ball.

I beleive Shawnee went 2-1 in their scrimmage games beating Doss and Southern( ? ).

Mustang football how's it going
hurricane replied to Milfordflash's topic in KY Football (High School)
It appears that Coach Coleman decided that the aggrevation of being a head coach has past him by (for now). He decided not to remain as head coach after a run-in with a vocal parent. -
Should Lickert be looking over his shoulder if things do not go well? I would like to see Lickert given every opportunity to succeed without the community calling for Yeagle to take over. After all, Dayton is vastly different than Ft. Mitchell.
-
Some earlier indications had Coach Yeagle landing at Dayton (but not coaching). With school ready to start; Does anyone know where he is or what he may be doing?

BGGREEN (or anybody who has the right info)- you posted the teams that the Mustangs will be playing but could post the dates as well? I may want to check them out. -
Bellevue looking for a new coach????
hurricane replied to Oldbird's topic in KY Boys Basketball (High School)
Playing experience doesn't mean a thing when it comes to coaching. All all-pro, all-american, all-everything does not mean that he can relate to players, especially teenage boys who think they know everything. Conversely, A coach with little experience who studies, watches others and learns can very well be an excellent head coach. Ideally, the person would somewhere in the middle. BTW, Nic Wilson was only mentioned as a possible candiate, I haven't seen him at the Loyal celebrating yet. -

OK, maybe he did not do a fine job coaching. -
Bellevue looking for a new coach????
hurricane replied to Oldbird's topic in KY Boys Basketball (High School)
Coach was not let go because of the job he did with the basketball team. In fact, given the circumstances, he did a fine job. The principal did not offer a renewal of contract simply because Wolfzorn had excessive absences. This obviously did not look good on a teacher in a new school district when the administration is demanding student attendance. It had nothing to do with players or for that matter board members. The principal told Wolfzorn face to face that he would not be renewed. The letter must have been a formality. -
It was posted weeks ago that NCC would have their rings by now. Can we get a picture if they do have them?

Ludlow to Name Head Coach Tomorrow..
hurricane replied to GoDeep12's topic in KY Football (High School)
Randy Borchers is a great guy and will do well in Ludlow. He has the support of his players and the community. Good luck to him. -
What are some of the best resources (books, videos, clinics, etc.), other than coaches to learn about techniques and drills?

Bellevue's Lincoln Adams...RB recruited???
hurricane replied to Qryche11's topic in KY Football (High School)
Even if the numbers that I posted earlier "sound" inflated to all the weight lifting expers out there, remember this: Lincoln is more of a speed back than a power back. Don't be to judgemental about his strength. He can get you a tough yard or two if you need it. He is not a 220lb. north-south back. He is a 180lb. track man. -

Do you not think that Linc could do this? -

I know Linc and his max numbers look like this: bench=270 and squat=405 -
Bellevue did lose two of the last three, with Coach Gray at the helm. Coach Eckstein is a different animal to deal with. Does that 2 of the last 3 include the 8 of the last 10 that is in Bellevues favor.:flame:

Beechwood post Yeagle, how will they do?
hurricane replied to FairFan's topic in KY Football (High School)
What kind of starters do they return. I know they will lose Sawyer, Moore, and Muth. I would say, it will be hard to replace Yeagle. Even with their tradition. -
The "Bellevue Faithful" got the Ohio State information from the Indian Hill fans in attendance. Not only was he leading the area in passing, but if you saw him throw a 60 yd. pass downfield with pressure coming at him, you would easily see why that story was so hyped. Besides, who is to say that Ohio State was interested in him. He obviously made a good decision going to a national championship team. How many players can say that?
