  1. Does this cover the old Nebraska "Fumblerooski" play? Is that illegal?
  2. No sarcasm here, but it looks like love has returned to BGP.
  3. I saw him play in the playoffs last year. He is very talented and by all accounts a very nice young man. I wish him well against the Breds this week.
  4. Bellevue has a senior center named Mindy Merritt. She is about 6'4 and can dominate a game inside.
  5. I am simply stating my opinion on this thread. No offense intended. My point being is that NCC has played a Monster schedule, as they do every year to prepare them for the playoffs. Just as you made the point that NCC is going to be Racelands biggest test so far. I have not seen Raceland this year, but I did see them get handled pretty well last year in the playoffs. It would be hard for me go against NCC in this one. I hope Raceland plays well. If they win, then they deserve every bit of praise. I also feel that NKY football is very good, especially when you talk about class A. If it makes you feel any better, NKY basketball cannot compete with the rest of the state.
  6. NCC wins big with ground game and a rock wall defense. Northern Ky football is too tough for the boys from the east. I say NCC by 4 tds.
  7. Nick Wilson of Bellevue. He's young, the kids like him and he really contributed to the offensive side of the ball.
  8. It's playoff time, so Beechwood will go full steam ahead. With that said, Beechwood rolls big 55-13 (two late scores by Dayton will get them on the board).
  9. Ncc wins 28-7. Ncc D is too tough in the post season.
  10. I support the Bellevue Tigers. We fell short of our expectations. A great goal line stand by Ludlow and O.T. loss to Dayton kept the Tigers from the playoffs.
  11. True, but for many others, Monday will be a day to turn in equipment and clean out the lockers.
  12. Did your team meet/exceed/fall short of their expectations for this year?
  13. Does a reliable source count some guy sitting at the Loyal after about 10 beers.
  14. The comments about Dayton not wanting to show too much is absolutely false this year, if the thought was; not to show their 1st round opponent anything. This year, the 1st round opponent is your own district. So whoever gets the #1 seed (Beechwood in my mind), already is familiar with Dayton. Dayton will not hold back anything. This game is every bit as important as a playoff game.
  15. Rivalry games mean alot. Picture this: Highlands not playing Cov Cath Beechwood not playing NCC Dayton not playing Bellevue Holmes not playing Holy Cross While some outsiders would say "big deal". It is usually important for the kids.
  16. I would stick with the natural rival. When you are talking about neighboring schools, the competition factor normally increases. Plus, in some cases (depending on the opponent) the gate $$ is greater with the local team.
  17. Hightchew is definately a threat. He can throw and runs for yardage. Bellevue will need to stop him. Bellevue wins.
  18. Where exactly could they put all of this? They don't have enough room for a football field (no goal post on one end of the practice field because a kicked extra point would land in Wendy's drive-thru) and to even mention more parking, and stands. They could try to buy out K-mart, and the other shops at the bottom of the hill, but I think the diocese money is going to pay for other things.
  19. I was at the NKYFL Raider game yesterday and it was Senior Day. At halftime, they introduced the departing seniors and read their bio's. Not one football player said they would go Scott. It was all Dixie, Cov Cath, and a few Beechwoods.
  20. 3ptshooter. By the way, welcome to BGP. I feel honored that your first post was in response to me.
  21. With the game well out of hand, why would you have to substitute an entire line? It was clearly bringing in bigger, better linemen who were already in and out of the game. Why not keep the younger line in at that time (about two minutes left)? There is not one logical reason for this move other than to continue a drive and score again. Keep in mind at the time it was 55-8. Clearly Beechwood was the better team last night. I will not argue that. That was definately uncalled for.
  22. Please tell me why a whole new set of linemen, who were very sweaty, came in for one play. A sweep. Then immediately left the game. Please tell me why Coach Rash was upset at his assistants at the end of the game when questioned by the Bellevue coach? Rash:mad: Assistants:irked:
