  1. Smokey and the Bandit: Junior: "You want anything Daddy"? Sheriff Buford T. Justice "Get me a Diablo sandwich and a Dr. Pepper. And make it quick. I'm in a G** D*** hurry. also Sheriff B.T. Justice "There aint no way you came from my loins"
  2. No hugging, no kissing until I get a wedding vow.
  3. Friends in low places by Garth Brooks
  4. "The taste of love is sweet when hearts like our's meet"
  5. I know this is not football, but goes towards copyright. I heard a while back that a person actually bought the right to the song "Happy Birthday". That is why most restaraunts now have their own jingle. Is this true or just a myth?
  6. I've never had one of those "energy" drinks. Truth is...I'm scared of what they might do to me. :scared:
  7. Great win by Bellevue, but "All over Beechwood, like a hobo on a bologna sandwich". A lot closer than that. In fact, I beleive it took a terrific defensive stand on 4th down to seal the "W".
  8. Major League "Forget about the curve ball Ricky. Give em' the heater". Dodgeball "If you dodge a wrench, you can dodge a ball."
  9. Is there something wrong with him, other than he cant dance well?
  10. DOLLAR BILL $$$$$$$$$$$$ He sure can make of enough of 'em.
  11. Thank you for the pic of Ashley Judd. She is now my background!
  12. Doesn't Holmes have Bermuda? They have a nice field.
  13. If Ghandi is coach, forget about banging the ball inside since he believes in non-aggression.
  14. This is me. Some people say I look like some dude named Brad Pitt!:thumb:
  15. I think everybody so far is of the same opinion. Steve Lickert is a great coach and will help Holmes. How far they go is up to the athletes to stay out of trouble, stay in school, support from the adminstration and parents, and finally, the whole academic mess with KDE. He did great at Dayton and will be missed dearly.
  16. If that were the case; Dayton will definately be in the better position, 3, 4, 5, or 6 years from now. Presumably, Beechwood will move up to AA, where there will be more competition and that will leave Dayton in a very winnable district every year. Unless there will be another numbers crunching session to redistrict teams, Holmes is still going to play Highlands and Cov Cath (am I wrong on this).
  17. With such a large frosh group, could it be possible to split the roster and have two teams? Has anyone ever heard of this happening before (besides in grade school)? In some ways, it hurts the lesser skilled player because of a lack of playing time.
  18. This has happened on many occasions. Not to blame their antics, but the number of studentst that show up and how intense they get will break today's bleachers.
  19. Does anyone know if there is a teaching position open for him in the district? Does this make a difference to Yeagle or to Lloyd if the job is his?
  20. The UK signee that LONG TIME WARRIOR mentioned was John Stewart.
  21. Lickert staying or going does matter, alot!! One thing that kids need most is consistancy. Especially at a school like Dayton, where people view it as a stepping stone, or a lower tier job. The kids are hurt when the adults, coaches and teachers that they bond with and look up to leave after a year or two. You said so yourself they need to stay on track. That includes Lickert.
  22. They need to keep Lickert in the head position. He is young, talented, motivated and a good offensive mind. I don't blame him for interviewing with Conner, but Dayton needs to be more proactive in keeping him around.
  23. IMO: It is neither a knock or an insult. Basically, it is what it is. I know his name will continue to be brought up for any open job. I'm sure he will land a good (more permanent) job sometime soon. To go to a small school with limited resources in talent and money, does not show a high demand. Maybe, it was the only PE job available at the time. If he were really that high in demand, a principal would have made a spot available somewhere.
