Coaches can have voluntary workouts. They can basically have practice, however, they can not make cuts until mandatory practice begins oct 15.

I've been impressed with the rebuilding of this program. They were headed south toward their girls program, but Coach Nethery has them headed in the right direction. I expect to see them in the finals of the 8th all A and competing in their district.

All public teacher pay is open record, but they can still make it difficult to find. In my district I know of administrators that show 75k, but make closer to 115k. Extended pay days, extra duties, stipends, etc can be hidden sources of income. I don't know what Happy makes nor do I care, but don't count on his published rate being his total income.

Oldham also picked up a nice transfer over the summer. They will not give up the title easily and as Mack said, they can control the tempo. Holland is a master at keeping the ball in their possession.

Jock Sutherland finished his career at Lexington Lafayette. I believe they are hosting the event. I believe Jock took Gallatin, Harrison, and Lafayette to the state tourney, eventually winning state in 79 with Lafayette and arguably one of the best teams in Kentucky history. Dirk Minniefield signed with UK and later player in the NBA, Junior Johnson played for UC, Tony Wilson player for WKU, Frank Minniefield played for Pikeville, Kurt Rose played for Transylvania - the rest escape my memory, but I believe 8 players played college ball off of that team.

Title IX does not care if girls have more sports than boys. It is only about girls opportunities.

My sources tell me Jones passed on bringing in players. I believe the Villa kid lives in Warsaw and was changing schools if Villa dropped basketball, which was rumored due to a drop in enrollment.

Personally, I think the current administration prefers to rule kids eligible versus ending up in court. I would like to see them open it up and let kids play where they want with no transfers once the season starts. The America I studied about in school was a place of freedom of choice. I don't see why a family can't simply say sports is important to us and we are willing to drive 45 miles every day for my child to have the best experience they can have in high school. We can go to the grocery, bank, church, etc wherever we want regardless of where we live; why not school. The current system penalizes the schools that try to follow the rules

My community would not support it. There will be a day where we watch a team in the state tournament with zero locals on the starting 5. Rose Hill and Scott County have been close.

I don't understand the formula. Chapman has a better completion percentage, a better Td to int ratio, a higher yards per completion avg. I don't doubt your calculations but Chapman's numbers look better than the top two qbs to me.

Breaking the rules through loopholes is not that difficult. If your community supports bringing in outside players, it is rather simple. I am always shocked the locals don't get pissed that junior sits on the bench while a foreigner plays.

Mack, I think they are afraid to answer your question. Probably afraid Chapman's stats are better than those listed.

I believe Scott High is correct. They play Collins, Simon Kenton, Scott, Harrison County, Oldham County, South Oldham, Shelby County, North Oldham. It is a very aggressive schedule for an A school. They are definitely not afraid to play the big boys.

Coach Jones has had several options in the past. Morgan is head and shoulders the best option this year. I would expect Morgan to get his 20 plus every night.

Chapman for gallatin is a very nice talent. He can make all of the throws. No ints to date.

The kid from holland is suppose to be one of the best amateur players in holland. There is a guy in Europe trying to set up a pipeline for players similar to what is happening in Canada. Don't be surprised to see several euros in the future.

I saw Gallatin this summer at South Oldham. They played some good teams close for a half and then wore out. Summer is hard to evaluate as players could be missing. They lacked depth and as usual, they had very little height. Morgan is the real deal. He was the best player on the floor versus Male. I would think he is a candidate to be player of the year in the 8th.

Carr is a nice player. Grant will win some games. I don't think they can compete with Simon in their district, but they are probably 2nd best in the 32nd. No bigs unless they got a move in.

Gallatin has 3 impressive wins. They can definitely score some points. I think their district will be very competitive this year. Owen, Carroll, and WV have solid teams as well. It will be interesting to see if they can compete with the traditionally stronger teams in 2A from NKY.

The report I received was fumbles and dropped passes really hurt the tigers. Gallatin ran and passed at will on the tigers defense. Impressive performance from GC.

The Ludlow faithful have seen Carroll and gallatin, which team is better?

I have had a few experiences with Coach Spurlock. I found him to be above average as a coach. I also found him to be arrogant and difficult to deal with. His people skills are lacking to say the least. He must be a good interview as he keeps getting good jobs!

It is good to see some optimism from the Ludlow faithful, however, put me down as being from Missouri - "show me". I don't see Ludlow beating anyone but the small schools, nothing wrong with that though, they are a small school.
