Gallatin played well in the second half, uninspired in the 1st half. Beatty made 2 free throws with 3 seconds left to put GC up 2. CH banked one in from opposite end to win. It wasn't meant to be for the Cats. Exciting game to watch.

When williamstown shoots the 3 well they can play wth most teams. Good win.

I think much of the issue is determining when the ball has been picked up. The game moves fast. It isn't easy to determine when the dribble is over and a step is being applied.

It I agree. I am fairly certain the assigner said it. I know several referees in the region and all have said it has been said at every meeting. He has also said the only thing that is a foul in the post is getting hit in the head. Crazy!

Is the Euro-step legal? 8th region assigning secretary has told their refs no, but some are allowing it and some are calling it a walk. It makes for very inconsistent refereeing. It probably was the difference in the Gallatin/Collins game. GC called for two walks- one when leading by 5 with 2 minutes to go.

You could schedule Latin and Calvary, maybe Heritage. No reason for SK to play Ludlow.

Gallatin made their statement. They are back with the big boys. It will be interesting to see how they respond against a good WV team on the road.

I agree Anderson and south are 1 and 2 and one should win. Neither are locks to make the region tourney. Shelby and Collins are both very good and Spencer is not a cupcake. Oldham or north can beat south. Both have very competitive districts and they may not be the 1 seed. We will see.

Lafayette lost to Bryan Station. Melvin Turpin was responsible for that loss. Grant was never close. Lost by 26. Jock also took gallatin county and Harrison county to state. Excellent coach.

Most referees are viewed as bad because those judging them are biased for one team. I find the refs do a much better job when I do not care who wins.

It will take multiple bigs to beat Owen. Rebs advance unless refs take him out of the game.

Owen has a very good team and a very good coach. I doubt they fear anyone. Gallatin is playing predominantly sophs. They are still trying to find themselves on a consistent basis. If they adopt a team identity of scrapping and hustling in every game like they did vs Owen, they are a dangerous team for everyone/anyone to play in the district. Can they accomplish that? Beck ham can shoot with anyone. Wilson was an elite point guard vs Owen. McCubbin is a load. They have other players with some talent, if they step up Gallatin is dangerous.
