Rules say legit non athletic move. The KHSAA interprets the rules to fit the program and kid. PERIOD! They have proved it time and time again.

If Euton, Jackson, and Flannery are all eligible at Oak Hill South (Scott Co.) then the hypocrisy at KHSAA would have a tough time ruling Cox, Collins, and crew ineligible with the turmoil at JBS. Once again private schools create issues and problems for everyone else involved. In this case KCC and Scott Co. for now.

Nah baby nah. Quit changing the game if it doesn't make the game better. I think the shot clock eliminates discipline and coaching from high school basketball.

Both pitchers looked solid but had moments they both struggled. Key hitting could have made it a different game. I think they are 2 of the top 4 teams in the 14th.

If Charlie Banks from LCC isn't in the top 15 players in the mountains then someone at WYMT needs to attend a game or two. That is absurd!!!

With Coach Combs at the helm and the talent pool at Montgomery Co. you can almost bet they will be in the mix in the 10th for quite some time now.

It was in the botttom 25% this year and there are certainly more deserving candidates. He did a nice job but not COY type job.

Without naming individual kids I can tell you of 3 cases in the 14th region alone. Kids moved and were not eligible. Kids moved in different schools inside the 14th and were eligible. Arbitrary and hypocritical. That is why the support of KHSAA has dwindled in the past several years and they have been more srutiny of the organization.

You would not work near as hard, nor would I ,for a coaches salary! That was the intent of the post. I assure you no teacher has my schedule or work load as well.

Coaches are underpaid and overworked. I think the trip to the tourney is warranted in all cases. Teachers still attend art shows, FBLA conventions,FFA conventions, etc. even when they are not participating in the convention. Do you have any idea how many trips your superintendent and board members take every year to Florida,Vegas, etc.? There isn't many teachers in any system that would put the time, effort and heart into coaching for what they are paid!

It would not surprise me to see Tate Cox ineligible and Dakota Euton eligible. I have no faith in the KHSAA and their policy enforcement.

Yes, AD's do have something to do with varsity officials and if you don't believe that you are in a fantasy world. I know of at least 3 officials that have been doing JV games for 3 years now because of an instance with 2 separate AD's. As bad as officiating has been over the past 5 years the KHSAA should find a better program. The current one is not working. It is not bringing new officials into the fold quickly enough and then there is not enough training to make sure they are competent once they are there. I think the current rating system is unfair and that the assigning secretary should be just that- an assigning secretary and not an evaluator.

Any kid that transfers for any reason should be eligible if we are concerned with kids and not the pocketbooks of the organization labeled to protect them.

KHSAA has their own rules and they change with the value of currency. HYPOCRISY!

KHSAA makes it to difficult for new officials to join the boys/girls club. 2 or 3 years doing JV's would propably force anyone to give it up. I know of some quality guys that could do varsity games today but would have to spend a year or two kissing up to some AD by doing JV and Freshman games for 2 years for nothing in order to then get in the club only to find out the Assigning Sec. doesn't like him and he or she gets 6 or 8 games a year. The process needs to change. By the way, I thought Napier and Gray done a fine job at the tourney. Their associates spoiled the barrel.

Stock up It is still the greatest show in HOOPS! Stock down KHSAA for it's unwaivering committment to bend the rules for their own good. Nothing really changes. Needs to be some changes in the ranks at the big house. Officiating! Was not up to par with the level of the games. I didn't have a team there but it was consistently bad. Need to look at the way officials are sent to the tourney. There were some good officials there but the bad ones ruined their parade.
