Hazard won 1 of 3 against Rockcastle in 2004 I think. Didn't the final game have to be played in Lexington at Catholic because of weather? The Anderkin kid then didn't get to pitch for Rockcastle at Applebees because he pitched on Monday to get to Applebees and the tourney started Wednesday. I think I am correct

Powell plays well early and runs out of fuel. To many athletes. Hazard has 10 or 12 kids that can contribute. I have watched them for the 4th time this year and I haven't seen a better team in the 14th.

Powell is tough to handle at home but Lee seems to be on a little bit of a roll? It's tournament time and anything could happen.

It always amazes me to hear folks say the officiating was the reason for the loss. I hear when teams get beat by 20 or 30 points????? In this particular game there wasn't even an instance that could have dictated the outcome of the game that there wasn't a judgement call on the other end of the floor that offset each other. The Owls are well coached and have some good kids but Powell was 20 plus points better at Booneville and were 7 or 8 points better last night. Every game has instances that fanatics (FANS) indicate that a game was poorly officiated or cost them the game, but the fact of the matter is there are several instances in every game that dictates the outcome and in some cases poor officiating can affect the style of play but most of the times does not effect the outcome of the game. I am off my soap box. Good luck to the Owls the rest of the way.

No missed free throws, no missed layups, no misses on defense. Why is it always officiating when a team loses?

Don't see Holland leaving Hazard. Has already had several good oppertunities over the years and has chosen to stay in Perry County.

Powell never got off the bus. KCC is very athletic and handled Powell's attempt at pressure. Powell played horribly. KCC could give a lot of teams in the 14th some problems with their style and athletes. Still not a 40 point better team than Powell but they were that night.

Good win for the Lee Co. Bobcats and Coach Wright.

I like the uniformed warm ups or something like that. Not very comfortable riding a bus for 2 hours in shirt and tie when you are not used to wearing one. We are talking about young men not paid athletes. If dress codes are used then I certainly hope the schools programs pay for the uniforms or coat and ties. That can be difficult for smaller programs.

Sorry, not going to bite on that one. They are the top 5 teams heading into the season.

Buckle up. Lot of points and it could go either way. Give KCC the edge at home.

I think the winner comes from the 54th or 56th. Estill, Powell, PCC and Hazard have the kids to win. You can't count out LCC but I still feel it will come from one of the 2 districts.

Awesome to see. Don't know the man but like him just the same. Hope the City of Ashland and surrounding communities let him know how much it is appreciated. Played legion ball there and it will be nice to see.

With scheduling and weather here in Kentucky, it is a juggling act to get everyone some work if you have the 4 or 5 kids that can pitch. In most of the 13th,14th,15th and 16th, just having 4 pitchers (not kids that pitch) is difficult to find. It would be nice to have a closer and if you do---- FEEL VERY FORTUNATE.

No doubt who is the cream of the crop in that district this year! Where is district played this year?

Powell by 5 or 6. Must beat Estill by 12 plus and hope for a Lee win against the Engineers in order to get the one seed.

Pulaski had three shots at the buzzer to win the game in overtime. Shot horrible the second half and continued to shoot from 3 land anyway. Coach Flynn can tie his name on this loss as much as anyone. Officiating may have been suspect but it was bad on both sides of the floor. If it was whipping time I can assure you that Pulaski would not have gotten off 3 shots to win it at the buzzer. By the way, the same guy who coached during those free throw records is the ex coach and Mr. Maroon himself, Dave Fraley. If you live in glass houses???????

Powell wins in OT over Pulaski. Great tourney. I was very impressed with Newport Catholic. Very disciplined and well coached.

Montgomery Co. will not have the studs to win a regional tourney but if they make it to the tourney you can bet that nobody will look forward to playing them. Coach Combs is an outstanding coach and will have his teams poised to strike. Always well prepared and exceptionally coached. I still think Harrison Co. is the team with everyone else in the same barrel.
