I agree with you 100%, and Owsley is my 2nd favorite team, after Lee. I look forward to coming on here and seeing a thread, "we tried hard, we did our best, but we lost fair and square".

It always amazes me to hear folks say the officiating was the reason for the loss. I hear when teams get beat by 20 or 30 points????? In this particular game there wasn't even an instance that could have dictated the outcome of the game that there wasn't a judgement call on the other end of the floor that offset each other. The Owls are well coached and have some good kids but Powell was 20 plus points better at Booneville and were 7 or 8 points better last night. Every game has instances that fanatics (FANS) indicate that a game was poorly officiated or cost them the game, but the fact of the matter is there are several instances in every game that dictates the outcome and in some cases poor officiating can affect the style of play but most of the times does not effect the outcome of the game. I am off my soap box. Good luck to the Owls the rest of the way.

Agreed, it is just to easy to blame someone for the outcome of a game. Both teams played hard in the game, but it wasn't a clean game on either end of the floor. But after the game was over both teams showed good sportsmanship on the court. And later at a Stanton restaurant both teams players were laughing and joking around with each other. Now that's what it is all about.

I'm just happy Owsley County played a competitive game and hung in there. Many times this year they haven't done that. Maybe they can get it together for another upset (or two;)) in the district tournament, like they did last year.
