  1. Ha, LITTLE man? You gotta be kidding me.
  2. No unfortunately you will not see this kid on the field. When, Ashland does go with a nose you will see a 270 pound kid.
  3. Dixe was once up in this game by a score of 24-14 before that Tomcats scored the next 21 unanswered.
  4. Ashland has had a great year standing at 7-4. Last year, as most can recall the miserable 2-8 year for the Tomcats this thought never slips the Tomcats mind. If you want to see a tough team watch these boys. They have a mix of some strength, some speed, some smarts, but more than anything the Tomcats have the ability to stay in the fight. When they are down they are never out, they never stop playing until the final whistle blows. I am an understanding person thats why I can say that Highlands is a better football team, but I also understand that if the Tomcats are down or if they are up in this game they will always show true grit and determination and never give up. I think the birds will pull this one out but I am obviously biased so GO CATS!!!!!!!
  5. I do not agree with this statement in the least bit. Ashland has only allowed one team to score over 30 points this year and that was Woodford Co. in a game that Ashland still prevailed. Correct me if I'm wrong on this did Johnson Central score 54 on Woodford Co.? I believe so, guess what, so did Ashland your a mad man if you think that Ashland is going to get blown out. It is there senior night and it is for a district championship they wont lay down they will step up. Good Luck JC! GO TOMCATS!
  6. The Tomcats it will slow down the speed of Bryan Station.:walk::
  7. I was told by a very reliable source that one of the calls had to do with some racial slurs being made to Rashard Carter by some of the Greenup County kids. Rashard got called for unsportsmanlike when he responded back.
  8. Alber had three touchdowns, two of which were over 50 yards. He had over 100 rushing yards in the first quarter. Well played game by the Tomcats, the JV got plenty of action in this one. Now onto a big district game at Bryan Station.
  9. Who else does WC play this year?
  10. Tomcats by alot in this one. The Ashland O-Line will make a statement this game. I feel sorry for Greenups defensive lineman.
  11. Thank you very much that clears it all up for me. In this case it would put Ashland in a good situation having beaten Russell who has one loss to the hands of the Tomcats.
  12. As you recall Ashland had a 2-8 year last season. There is no reason for this program to hang there heads because look what Ashland is doing this year.
  13. How does the point system work?
  14. The report for the Tomcats is that #5 Dom DeMartino ruptured his ACL in the Woodford County game and will be out for the remainder of the season. Please keep him and his family in your prayers they are wondeful people and he is a class athlete. Good Luck on healthy recovery!
  15. I know the players will read this and enjoy the fact that nobody thinks they can hang with the top dogs like Highlands. I would totally agree with you on that. I'm sure if you ask the players they will say otherwise and that's what's great about this group of Tomcats they never say never and in the words of Jimmy V, "Don't ever give up." All I'm saying is the Tomcats may not be able to play with the top teams but what they lack in talent they make up for in effort, heart, and pure determination. Oh, yeah and I bleed maroon and I might be being biased but everyone has to believe in their team and that's just what I'm doing.
  16. I tend to disagree with this answer. The Tomcats just defeated the number 8 team in the state. They would be looking at the underdog role the rest of the season except for the GC game. Traveling to Bryan Station will be tough for the Tomcats. The week following that game they will face Johnson Central where they will once again be a heavy underdog. I feel that Ashland should definitely be top ten worthy. I also know that these boys will not be satisfied unless they are number one. And if what everyone is saying is true about them improving every week I would be afria to play the Tomcats in the playoffs. They are a very hungry team after last years embarassing 2-8 year. I see them winning out and flipping the record around from last year to finish there regular season 8-2. So 1st and goal if this happens, are you going to deny the tomcats a top ten spot?
  17. Please give your opinion on this topic. I don't see why they shouldn't be after beating WC who was 8th in the state. The cats have a 5-2 record and are 2-0 in their district.
  18. JC bing time in this one! Its safe to say they can overlook these next two weeks and get ready for a district championship game in Putnam Stadium on Oct. 31 at 7:30 on Elm Street. This could be a stroyline if we have a full moon out for Haloween night.
  19. WOW!!!! I'm tired after watching that game. Congratulations to the Tomcats! They played as a team and won as a team! Let's keep Dom DeMartino in our prayers as he suffered a knee injury in the first half and did not return. He is to have a mri Monday.
  20. I look for a big upset over the Yellow Jackets this week for Ashland. If they play the way they can and have been doing lately I look for a great battle. The Tomcat line needs to control the tempo of the game early and if they can do that then Congratulations to the Tomcats for a big upset over the number two team in the district! Good Luck to both teams!
  21. I love watching Ashland's defense and the way they swarm to the ball on every play. This group just seems to click, they work well together. We keep hearing all this talk about the defense so I'm going to put some names to that defense. Those seeing the most time on defense are Trent Hardy,Ryan Bonner, Taylor Walker, Stephen Burns, Blake McLeod, Josh Alber, Connor Swift, Bryant Combs, Dominic DeMartino, Josh Miller, Daniel McDavid. Keep up the good work guys--we're proud of you!:ylsuper:
  22. I have some reliable sources that say Salisbury and Walker are only going to be at around 80% for gametime due to their injuries but they will start.
  23. No, he has been in the Ashland school system his whole life.
