The Tomcats travel to Lloyd next Friday to take on the Musketeers. Ashland is coming off a district victory against Woodford Co. Greenup Co made a late season run last year in their district race.

 

Can the Tomcats continue their game by game improvement this season?

Ashland will win this one by a lot.

The danger for the Tomcats is an emotional let down after an exciting district win over Woodford Co. Ashland can't afford to look ahead to Bryan Station. I think this team is pretty mature, and I believe the coaching staff will not let them lose focus. So, I'll not worry about that too much.

 

 

The Tomcats need to work on continued improvement. I don't think this team has peaked yet. Keep working hard.

I would say that you are right. The difference will the line play, and I don't think Greenup County's line can stop Ashland's line. That will be the difference in this game.

 

Ashland is much like Raceland, they have a strong OL/DL and they have multiple weapons to go to. Ashland's Bonner will be playing the part of Raceland's Robbie Logan in this game, and will be in the backfield all night.

I think the Ashalnd coaching staff has done an outstanding job of keeping the kids emotions in check. The Tomcats are playing well right now and I don't think that changes this week.

GC's defense played really well against BC, I am however afraid that Carter is going to have a huge game in his first action back on GC's field since JFL. God knows he always had his way back then.
