I believe the "former" ad set the schedule - maybe wrong. Last game is at Mason and that will be their senior night.

The parents and kids are behind and they believe in these boys no matter what the record. I Love My Musketeers - Go GCHS

I want my Musketeers to win but I'm also realistic - we have one man out for the rest of the season - Brian Grayson has 3 broken ribs - and this is really gonna hurt us. I just hope for no injuries on both sides.

I heard that two more players had just quite this week do you know if this is true? I'm not sure but I think their names are Justin and Michael . If this is true the boys are really down and we as GCHS fans have to do something for these boys. I hate to see them struggling this way.

I haven't heard about anyone quitting.

Yes, I heard last night that 2 freshman quit the team.

I can also confirm this. My sources said that both freshmen did quit earlier this week.

This along with some talented sophomores that played last year that either quit, hurt or transfered are not playing. This is what is happening to the talent at GC. The football program cannot keep their talent on the field and in the weight room. It is hard to compete at a high level with only some of the talent that should be on the field.

So who is to blame for this? The coaches, the schools record, the players? I know that I have talked to a soon to be Senior next year and he said he was not playing next year this boy has played since 3rd grade. Something is wrong some where.

Thoughts and prayers to both Brian and Dom. May God grant quick and full healing!

Amen.

I honestly don't know. I thought bringing back an alumnus to coach might bring back the fire, but it didn't. I really don't think coaching has been the issue, imo. I honestly think you can't make some people happy and they will always be on the coach (whoever he is) and wins/losses don't matter. Parents have been on Coach Logan (baseball) for two years and he has directed them to the final eight in consecutive seasons. Why is this? Answer that and you're way smarter than I. Frankly, I am tired of the attitude.

I'm sorry but I will have to disagree with you on wins/losses not mattering. Nobody likes to lose all the time.If the boys are coming to that field everyday and putting all they got in to it and nothing coming out then they are bound to get tired somewhere. They have won 1 game this year and started practice the first day school was let out.As far as Coach Logan I don't know any thing about him or his team.

doc..... I belive that you nailed it. At least you are very close. I am not putting any one person in paticular down at all. I do know that GCHS has been pretty bad for this kind of thing ever sinve they became a school. Seems to me that there is still one section/area of the system's population that has to have everything their way and if it is not then a coach, teacher or anyone else is "out of the loop" ae in trouble.

Again, I am not an insider so I do not know any specifics or names (that I can personally say are the problem), just what has been pretty much a given everywhere for years and years at GCHS about the factors that run everything.

I respect the GC system, have lot of friends down that way and I wish the Muskies luck in all their sports (except when you play Raceland;)) and in all other areas as well.:thumb:

I really feel for the kids at GC. Keep your heads up and continue to work hard.

You are right, wins and losses do matter. I was trying to point out that even with wins you can't make some people happy. Coach Maynard has more wins than anyone as a coach in the football program and they had petitions AT THE FIELD during the pre-season scrimmage (during his last season at GC)asking people to sign to have him fired! I know, I was asked to sign it. This is why you don't see me in Green and Gold. Not only was that class-less, it's whats wrong at GC. I am just so tired of the factions. I love GCHS and the kids, but the parents do not allow them to enjoy what is supposed to be the best years of their lives. I follow the teams and support them in all the ways I can, but to be able to go and watch is painful to my ears because all the parents and fans do is complain about something. Enough is enough!

Amen:cool:
