This one could get ugly quick.

You picked Greenup County to win.

Old Rambler your Avatar looks like Ronald Regan. Ha Ha Ha.

 Although Regan was a great man and president I don't think that he was as good of a football coach as "the Bear". He played the "Gipper" and as far I know Regan did not wear a houndstooth hat, lol..

He did play collage football. Ashland scores like alot.

...I am afraid that Carter is going to have a huge game in his first action back on GC's field since JFL. God knows he always had his way back then.

Carter is one of several capable Tomcat running backs. It would be short sighted of GC to focus on Carter…they may end up with a dose of Alber, McLeod, DeMartino, or Miller & company.

What can we expect from the Musketeers, Coupon21?

The danger for the Tomcats is an emotional let down after an exciting district win over Woodford Co...Ashland can't afford to look ahead to Bryan Station. I think this team is pretty mature, and I believe the coaching staff will not let them lose focus...The Tomcats need to work on continued improvement. I don't think this team has peaked yet. Keep working hard.

I would be surprised if this group had an emotional letdown too Graybeard. It’s doubtful that any of these Tomcat seniors have forgotten the aberration of 2007. The maturity of this team is one of the best things they have going for them…I believe they will come out Friday with a chip on their shoulders and go to work…there is room for improvement… its time to work on those little things which separates a good player from a great player.

WOW! I appreciate the vote of confidence rambler...but shutouts are not an easy thing to come by. Fortunately, the Tomcats had enough firepower to outscore their opponent last week, but Ashland surrendered 44 points in that outing.

BTW…that’s your best avatar yet! :thumb:

I believe the Muskies will score, but very late, after Ashland pulls the starters.

I just think that the Tomcats a going very well right now and keep improving each week. That is one mark of a good team - to improve every week and to never be satisfied.

As for the Bear on the avatar, by far the greatest coach to ever walk a sideline imo. As Bum Phillips said about Bear....."he could take his and beat yours or he could turn around and take yours and beat his".;)

That is a good point Painter. I think the Tomcat defense will be looking to make a statement this week. They won't be looking ahead - they will be working this week.

Coupon, I think Ashland is playing so well right now, they might be able to name their score. I hope the GC defense continues to play hard, if not, the score may get out of hand. Where is the potent GC offense?

Ashland 42-6.
