I think it is very funny when BMR is quoted in the newspaper as stating that the Tigers were outcoached in this game!! With BMR and no fewer than 5-6 assistants, the Tigers should never be outcoached!!!

Congrats to Russell!! They seem to have the Tomcats number both in basketball and football! BUT take note that beating Ashland isn't bragging rights to the region anymore! Right now, Ashland isn't even a top 5 team in the 16th!

This isn't Fantasy Island! Russell has NO CHANCE at all against Scott no matter what they do! Anyone that thinks otherwise is kidding themselves!

I'll just say that I have seen better!! It seems that even the good teams lack any drive! This has made the tourney a so-so tourney at best!

I'll take Leslie by 10! Harlan shouldn't have made it as far as they have! A very poor performance by Paintsville helped them get there!

I've been saying this the whole season!!! I hope you are right. The Tigers have to learn to keep the lead and build on it. They have won several games this year AFTER blowing big leads. BUT being up I think 8 against Harlan in the 4th is an example of where it came back to haunt them! Result, playing for 5th instead of possibly playing for the championship!

Say what you want, but who really cares whether a player is hyped or not??? The reality is that Landon Slone could walk in the door at any 15th Region school and would start! But that doesn't make him the best thing since JR Vanhoose! He is a Sophomore, and time will tell whether he ends up great or whether he just stays very good! So why all the negativity toward him and why bash the Paintsville fans for heaping praise on him! If he doesn't deserve it the only people that will be embarrassed is the Tiger fans and if he does deserve it then why knock him over a bad game! Lets focus more on the team and the game against Harlan!

Other than Elliott County, Rowan doesn't have a single quality win against a good team! But they always play Morgan close, only losing by 9 back at the beginning of the season. I don't think that they can beat Morgan unless the Cougars just don't show up, BUT this is a game where a flat Cougar performance may result in a close win or a great Cougar performance may result in a blowout!! Morgan is capable of winning by as much as they want to!

I thought you said Morgan by 17? Are you coming down a little or do you think that they will be ready for a blow out performance?

Good win for JBS! I guess this will certainly get the attention of the other 14th Region teams if there were any doubters out there before? JBS will be a contender this year and probably in the next few years for the Regional title! Again Congrats to JBS!

A good summary is that the Tigers just didn't show up!!

Morgan is capable of winning this one by 20. But when you consider that Rowan will bring their A game, that Morgan hasn't been playing well lately, and that the Morgan and Rowan games are usually close - I'll say Morgan by a small margin!

If Boyd had another shot at JC, I don't think they would need to be on a neutral court with neutral refs. Even though we all know that the home team gets some iffy calls, the Lions just simply lost the game and beat themselves. JC doesn't play that consistent and I don't think that they could beat Boyd at JC if they played tomorrow! They shouldn't have lost to them the first time, even with the refs!

So while you are entitled to your opinion as everyone else is, try to only speak of what you know!! As for last night, it would appear to me that Harlan's coaching staff just outcoached BMR and his bench of coaches!! Why else would you allow them to slow the game down and not try and change it! Defense got the Tigers through the Hoops Classic, but apparently they didn't use it last night! And to lose to a team that is without their best scorer on a boring type game as this is not acceptable!
