Kinda seems everyone underestimated them in all rankings this week, looks like the Eagles need to be back below them.

According to the radio crew, Boyd County shot 40% from the field and 30% from threeland, the key stat however was 78% freethrow shooting.

 

Owens led all scorers with 28.

 

Fairview shot 44% from the field and nearly 50% from threeland, the key stat for the Eagles was 50% freethrow shooting. A big surprise from a normally very good freethrow shooting team.

 

Hutchinson led the Eagles with 19.

Great win for Boyd in an extremely ugly and physical game, but BC didn't back down at all. Owens really picked up his game in the 4th qtr and led the Lions to victory.

I think they will have to take that secret sauce of the market, word is it was all spoiled and not as good as it was supposed to be :thumb:

I just got a call from an auxillary fireman at the game and he said he was shocked by the way Boyd County hammered the little fairview guys, he apologized for the physical play and said it was so bad, Fairview was physically unable to shoot free throws the way they normally do. He said that if the refs just called an "average" game, my secret sauce would have been fine. He also said there some Boyd County fans that were yelling extremely loud at the Fairview players when they were on the line and that could have effected their shooting. He even gave Alex Barker a hug as he came off the floor and said nobody should have to shoot free throws under those conditions. I wasnt there but you know its a badly called game when the auxillary firemen are apologizing for the refs!!!!! :eek:

It sounds like those auxilliary firemen were suffering some nasty side effects from having ingested that secret sauce ...
