Final from WYMT Mountain Classic. Lowest scoring game in the history of the tournament.

For Paintsville:

J.D. VanHoose 10 pts

Daniel Pugh 9 pts

Landon Slone 9 pts

Shane Grimm 4 pts

Not sure on Harlan's stats.

Considering the love Paintsville has been getting from 15th region officials and the push for landon Slone to be the next Mr basketball from the mountains ...........................................this is huge.

I think they are without there best player, not for sure though.

John Smith one of the best in the 13th out for the season , so this score is a shocker, way to step it up for the rest of the Green Dragons.

This is a big win for the Green Dragons. #1 for harlan did a great job defending Slone, who didn't impress me any at all.

He is not impressive, just a product of 1 great game and A LOT of HYPE.

He is a very avg. player, not real quick or athletic, above avg. shooter but if you get physical and he DOES NOT got the FT line 8-12 times a game he can't score .

ONE GAME HYPE? You must NOT have read about, watched or listened to any of the games prior to that ONE GAME.

BUT, that is your opinions, Apparently this must have been the first time you have seen him play. Every kid has an off night every once in a while. The thing that makes him so good is that, you usually don't see him score. You will sit and watch a hole game and when you see the stats he had 25 to 30 points. Maybe one of those will be a three. And NO they are'nt mostly from the foul line. What the kid has, is called a mid-range jumper. NOT just a glorified 3-point shot. Also Vanhoose, Grimm, Bundy & Pugh ussually throws in their share. The Tigers just couldn't get in a rythm tonight. I have found that when watching any basketball game to not judge a player just from one performance, because the next time they play they will make you look like you have no idea what you are talking about. Also you don't get mentioned as All State as a very avg. player. I must say great job to the Dragons coach for having a game plan and sticking to it. He kept his players under controll and didn't allow them to start and try running with the Tigers. He slowed the game down and stayed with it no matter the score and his plan worked. Good win for the Drangons and good luck on their season. Good Luck to the Tigers on the next game at the WYMT!

Very boring game!!! No emotion from the Tigers last night, I think they may have overlooked Harlan because of the injury to their best player. I think Harlan may have out rebounded the Tigers, does anyone know for sure?

This score was not really that much of a surprise. Paintsville just isn't that good of a team. They are definitely more hype than substance... especially Landon Slone. This just makes the 15th look bad... but thank goodness for Phelps representing the 15th...
