I did not see it myself but a certain Supt from a school of Orange and White was reported to be wining and dining a certain Coach at the Sweet 16 today. Any of the Coaches listed above would be better than where the Jackets have been for the past several seasons. The big hire at Whitley has to put some pressure on the Administration to do this right......Can you imagine a district with three head Coaches who have all coached teams to the sweet 16 with one of them having a state title and the others winning games at that level.

Who else might be on the list of potential new coaches Cross? Ol Jim Bob might say goodnight to them there Yellow Jackets and take a faster ride to fame....

Deaton Started Coaching at Greenville High , then went to Caverna, then to Corbin and later to Bowling Green....most success was experienced at Caverna where they went to the ALL A several times and at Corbin where he took the Hounds to the State twice.........

I would think with his connections he would have no problems getting another position if the powers to be at Greenup want him removed....heck he could always go back to Scott County with uncle Billy

How can Hicks be gone from Greenup after a break through season? He must have really ticked someone off for that to happen.

Are these people serious? How could Somerset get a better coach than they already have in Coach Thacker? I think people in Jumperland had better worrry about a big school offering him a position and not be too concerned with the early district loss. I can not believe there is any truth to these rumors.

set it up BIGZig and me and mrs will attend

I will be there BIG with my wife ....I have not missed a state tourney since 1981.....been hooked ever since...we should sit an evening aside...at a nice quint place and let everyone meet up and have a few cold ones...

12th region officals....my hats off to them as well...I wish the 15th, 14th and 13th would take a knee and try to be like those guys..

Think that will get things confused with Harlan IND?

Maybe Coach Hicks will want to head home to the friendly confines of the 13th region and coach the Harlan Central Bears soon....gotta be easier than winning the 11th region....he left the 13th for an easier region in the 8th then they shift him around....Great win for Coach Feldhaus...a true competitor...

Corbin will be better next season....a year older and a few new faces....remember the region is at Corbin next season as well.....CONGRATS to South.....hope you bring the big trophy home to the 13th.....with Scott getting beat out, if they can win the first game then they have a chance..
