South Laurel 58 Corbin 41
You believe as you wish. All I am saying is that South better not bring their "C" game to the post season or they will be saying "See-Ya next Season". If Corbin...... a team that is above average can play as close as they did....( were you even at the game to know how it took place?) then certainly Bville, Clay Co and North are all capable. Heck Pineville could be included in that list as well. South is a great team, but I would not wrap the region trophy up and deliver to their front door just yet. Are they the favorite yes, will it be easy, I think not.

South Laurel 58 Corbin 41
I think the Hounds showed the rest of the region that South is not unbeatable..Clay, Barbourville and the other top teams could all beat South on a given night.

South Laurel 58 Corbin 41
I can not understand the officating assignment for this game. One guy looked in shock most of the night. No way a lifetime little league offical should be calling a big district match-up. He gave Corbin a TO when they did not have possession of the ball and then an obvious basket that was waved off at the end of the first half. Glad to see both teams and fans not storm the court after these events. At any rate, it was an entertaining game to say the least.

Pineville 72 OBI 32
Semi finals would be Barbourville vs Mboro and Pineville vs Jackson..Jackson beat Lynn Camp by 15 points tonight.

Corbin vs. South Laurel (Round 2)
Some of you are not old enough to recall this happening, but in the late 80's or early 90's I saw Knox Central beat Barbourville by 50 points in the regular season only to see the Tigers bounce back and defeat a very talented Central team in the 50th district......I am not predicting a Corbin win, but sometimes when you are depending on 15 to 19 year old kids strange things happen. South is great, but their greatness does not keep all their opponents from wanting to beat them or at least believing that they can......

Jackson Co at Lynn Camp Predictions
I think Jackson is playing better than Lynn Camp at this point in the season. I hope the Camp wins, but my head says Jackson 77 Lynn Camp 64.

Dave Fraley resigns at Pulaski County
Coach Fraley is a heck of a basketball coach. I for one wish him the best.

Fear 'Les' 13th Region Ratings
From all indications Brent seems to like working with Coach Pietrowski and Coach McDaniel. They seem to have a good relationship and have settled in their respective roles pretty well. One thing about it, if you are happy with your job no need to change just for a head coaching title.

Fear 'Les' 13th Region Ratings
Coach Denny will more than likely stay put til the talent runs thin at Laurel..Coach West is still early in his career and more than likely will be the boss man someplace in the distant future. From talking to him,he seems to enjoy being a Redhound as does his son who is a decent football and basketball player at Corbin Middle.

Fear 'Les' 13th Region Ratings
As an outsider looking in, I would say Coach Dixon has been a big help. Lynn Camp like all teams has their weaknesses, but they are doing alot of things more fundamental now. I still look for them to pull of an upset and advance to the region this season. All the coaches you mentioned have been around the game for many years and are all bound to know something about the game.

Fear 'Les' 13th Region Ratings
Maybe Dixon has indeed helped the Wildcats this season and that is all we were mentioning in this thread. Williamsburg has been discussed mostly for their unwillingness to play everyone in the district, touchy touchy ......you forget I have alot of interest in Whitley County as well.

Corbin 65 Wayne Co. 41
I think they did start that line-up....but the other players that usually get into the game are as young as Wayne. I think that Lynn Camp will beat Wayne Co.

Fear 'Les' 13th Region Ratings
Are you related? Do you have any red headed people in your immediate family? Just messing with you Les....although you are a straight shooter like Yosemite Sam. You rarely miss the mark by much. ..A high shooting percentage. If the accuracy runs in the family then I doubt you are related.

Fear 'Les' 13th Region Ratings
I wait for Les's ratings every week. I am waiting for him to say that Lynn Camp's CLYDEsdales are the surprise, surprise of the week. Someone has made a big difference in this team. I think I know who has worked the magic. LC99 and Zap why don't you fill us in on the transformed Wildcats of 2006?

Corbin 65 Wayne Co. 41
yes Wayne is a young team indeed. But come to think of it so is Corbin....Crawford Frosh, Barley Soph, Cashen Soph, Rogers Soph, Smith Frosh, Hamlin Junior, plus the other young ones who are injured .....French and Campbell........also Frosh....I would think,..... Zap that an experienced team like Lynn Camp with seniors....... Bray, Eggen, Dixon, Siler, and Juniors........ Hibbard and Tanner....... will have a much easier time with the Cardinals than the Hounds did tonight. :flame:

12 Region Predictions
Region is held in Dave's barn over at PC.....so if he gets there you may see him work his magic and make a run to Rupp. Overall, they should give another region an at large bid to the Sweet 16 and not have a 12th representative this season.....I say that tongue in cheek.

Corbin 65 Wayne Co. 41
Nice win for the Hounds. Great to see a sound TEAM victory for the guys. Keep up the teamwork and good defense. Coach Pietrowski showed alot of class tonight when he subbed liberally in the fourth quarter. After being ahead by 35 points he allowed his younger players to get some playing time. Wayne County and Coach Woods deserve the respect shown by Coach P.

Lynn Camp 67 Whitley County 61
Wildcats take their second win over the Colonels.
-
Whitley County 71 Williamsburg 63
As does Coach Haynes........lol...... Good Luck. I hope it can be restored to at least have some dignity.
-
Whitley County 71 Williamsburg 63
Coach Farris has forgot more basketball than most will ever know. He will never come back due to how he was treated by the Burg Faithful......Seems like they have a good way of running off some pretty good coaches....Leforce, Farris, West, Prewitt............all have went on to successful careers at other locations.....makes you wonder what could have happened if all the politics stopped and they would let a Coach do his job...
-
Whitley County 71 Williamsburg 63
Let's go back in time....how about Coach Willard Farris for the job......He is an ol, Wburg guy Is it best he moved on as well....?
-
Whitley County 71 Williamsburg 63
Maybe it will work out for a competitive district. The vernon boys would be the best choice or Coach Lunce. Maybe Coach Prewitt will come back and bring his son to help the Jacket cause. Still recall that Big Brother is watching.....lol.....guess who big Brother is ......
-
Whitley County 71 Williamsburg 63
I would agree with you it was best Coach West moved on. He did get to coach in the state tournament and seems to be a good fit for us at Corbin. Hopefully the Jackets will land a young coach who can breathe some life into the program. Rick Jones, Scott Co, Vandy, Mr Basketball, might be interested if the Vernon boys are not.
-
Whitley County 71 Williamsburg 63
I can recall a time not long ago where Wburg won 26 games and was a threat not only in their district, Class A region and Overall region under the leadership of another Coach who now coaches at Corbin. I hope they can get someone who at least thinks they can win. Wburg has made their bed with Haynes and Maxey and now they are sleeping with them. I say keep them around for another 5 seasons and let them mess up things worse than they already have. It works out for football....lol
-
Whitley County 71 Williamsburg 63
I think Haynes and Maxey's records speak for themselves. If the Wburg People are happy with the direction of the program then by all means sign them to a long-term deal.
