Jackson County. From what I heard they beat Lynn Camp by double digits.

Semi finals would be Barbourville vs Mboro and Pineville vs Jackson..Jackson beat Lynn Camp by 15 points tonight.

I was at this game. and came away very impressed with Pineville. They played a 1-3-1 defense nearly all night and completely shut Oneida down.

 

And the Mountain Lions are very young. Coach Strange's son is a freshman guard and has a good future. Their big center, Day. is only a sophomore. I think their fans told me that their Hensley kid is their only senior.

 

I know one can't compare games, but Barbourville only beat OBI by 5.....and Pineville could have easily won by 50+ last night if they had wanted.

Did Cahill play for Oneida? I noticed he was not in the box score. He is their main offensive weapon.

I don't know if he played or not. They introduced the lineups but I didn't pay any attention to the names, and I don't know their players.

But I have noticed recently that Cahill has been averaging around 30 points the last few games, so if his name was not in the newspaper, then he must not have played. I don't think they could completely shut a scorer like that down.

Very impressive win for Pineville. I thought OBI looked pretty decent Monday in a win over Evarts. Cahill was OBI's best player though, so if he didn't play that probably made it worse. He was fine on Monday.

I like the way Pineville stays under control and nothing seems to faze them being ahead or behind they tend to business. I thought P'ville would win but the score is hard to figure. From were their program has risen from it would be cool if they made it to Richmond this year! Coach Strange is a fine coach and doing a great job.
