Interesting turn of events tonight. It appears that one exceeded expectations and one fell below anticipated hopes. I suppose one has to remember that improvement does not always equal successes, especially when the opponent could have progressed at a greater pace. As for the youth factor, it appears to me that both teams had an abundance of new players with the victor having even more youth on the floor for much of the game. Injuries factored in to both sides of the equation with Whitley still missing some ailing players and Corbin being without the services of upperclassmen Barley & Cashen. With all this being stated, I for one thoroughly enjoyed the exhibition of effort and defense on the part of the Redhounds and would like to issue my sincerest congratulations to the coaching staff. Perhaps the true measure for this team of Redhounds will come next week with the likes of worthy opponents in Cawood, Bell, and Knoxville Catholic.
