  1. ahhhh, Williamsburg has not won a game in their State........ which may put them last............. :jump:
  2. Cards rebound with a convincing win over the Bobcats.
  3. Tonight the Bobcats visit the Cards. Not sure about the start time but it should be a dandy. Bell is coming off an impressive win over Bville and South is trying to bounce back from a disappointing loss to Boyle 43- 42. Both teams have good guard play outfront, the Cards have a decided edge in the post where the Cats are a little thin. I look for a very interesting game with South pulling it out at the end.... South 68 Bell 54
  4. Is Hicks skating on thin ice in Greenup?
  5. If you shoot it as bad as South reportly did then you can almost guarantee a loss. South is still the best in the region. This may serve as a wake up call for the Cardinals. I remember last season Lex Cath pulled the shocker and then the rest of the story speaks for itself. Boyle is a physcially strong team with a 6'9 player inside. No team in the region other than Clay can be as physical as the Cards.
  6. Pretty bad when both teams fans are upset and one team got the win. Overall quality and consistency has dropped to an all time low in the area.
  7. Maybe, but then those other guys would not have got the shots. I think the other players scoring was the difference. Good win nonetheless. Why did Coach Grey get the T?
  8. Hounds have to do a few more things correctly in order to win some games in the district and regional. Careless turnovers and execution at critical times have resulted in most of the losses this season. I noticed 5 or 6 losses have been by less than 8 points. In close games the big stop, rebound or running of a pattern correctly make the difference. Games like last night at Clay are priceless if the Hounds can learn from their mistakes. The regular season is the homework, the post season is the big test. Buckle down Corbin and continue to improve.
  9. It will be hard for anyone to push off one of South guards. Those guys are all very strong and much bigger than the smaller Hounds. I certainly hope South and Clay play in the region to settle this debate on the court. Clay has been calling for this matchup all season long. Sometimes what you wish for is more than you wanted, when you get it.
  10. It also never hurts when you get 30 free throws to your opponents 15. Looked like alot of the same contact on both ends just different whistles. Hats off to the Tigers they stepped up their play without " The Minister of the Interior". Big difference was the first quarter production of Lewis. Two dagger threes to help the Tigers get off to a good start. Never thought I would say it, but the 15th region officals will be a welcomed sight come 13th region tournament.
  11. Game was played at Cawood. Yes Rick played at Corbin that season. Hounds played Trigg at the state and won, then lost to Warren East
  12. I was trying to get a list of what the district pairing looked like in the 13th? 49th at Clay Co: Red Bird vs North Laurel Clay Co/ OBI winner vs Jackson County 50th at Corbin: South Laurel vs Wburg Corbin vs Whitley County 51st at Pineville: Bville vs KC Lynn Camp Vs Pineville Now I need some help on the 52nd:
  13. I have watched Miller play for many years and I must say he is a very good shooter. I know he will get the chance to play on the next level. Louisville might be a stretch, but Pitino knows that shooting is very important and he has a way of making players exceed all our expectations. Best of luck to Mr. Miller he has always played the game the way it should be played...... hard and with class.
  14. Bowling Green at Corbin is called off for tonight
  15. Lady Hounds and Wayne Co is still on for tonight. I think these teams jumped the gun, but I am not the one in charge of getting all those kids home safely.
  16. Radio is giving..... Wburg at Casey Clinton at Whitley Mccreary at Lynn Camp all called off for tonight Any word on Clay and Lex Cath?
  17. Any games called off for tonight?
  18. Great win for Coach Pennington sounds like it could have been worse for the Jackets. How many years will it take the Jackets to get competitive with most Class A teams in the region? Sad time to be a Jacket fan. Good Luck against McCreary and Big Clay Wildcats.
  19. Seems like the Colonels have been into a couple of altercations this season. I am sure all guilty parties will punished accordingly.
  20. Looks like North and Clay will both advance to the region..
  21. Anyone know how it came out?
  22. I think it maybe a year for Lincoln County to win the region?
  23. I do not think anyone can help Lynn Camp, they seem to have the best people in place as it is now. They have a young coach who work tirelessly and mixed with a legendary former Head Coach and a man who loves the school. Regular season is a tool to get ready for the post season when it matters the most. Keep up the good work and learn from your mistakes just like everyone else..Lord knows it will take a miracle to unseat South Laurel.
  24. Where is Watcher, Mexican Bob, or Thunderstruck when you need some info on the Red Storm? These guys used to be on top of every Colonel movement.
